Page 49 of Hawk

I hopped on my motorcycle and revved the engine. Tonight was going to be fucking perfect. I headed toward Hope Hearted with a huge smile on my face.

As I pulled up the driveway, I could see the other women peeking through the curtains. They all ran as I parked and walked up toward the door.

I took a deep breath and went to knock when Savannah opened the door. She was wearing a gorgeous black wrap-around chiffon dress. It had small black dots all over it. The skirt part came to the middle of her thigh and I looked down to see she was wearing strappy black heels.

Looking back up and trying to avoid staring at her perfect breasts, I saw that her gorgeous blonde hair was curled, and she wore deep red lipstick with smokey black eye make-up on.

Her green eyes popped against the black and tiny gold flecks in her make-up. Savannah looked up at me and smiled.

“Does this look okay?”

I was fucking speechless and stood there like an idiot.

“Hawk…?”

Shaking my head, I pulled her into me and slammed my mouth on hers. I ran my fingers into her hair as I pushed my tongue past her lips and kissed her with everything I had.

Pulling back, I gazed down at her. “You are so fucking gorgeous, Savannah. Ready to go?”

She blinked a few times before nodding her head. “Uh, yeah.”

I laughed as I took her hand in mine and led her over to my motorcycle. I took out a small black helmet from my bag and handed it to Sav.

“You need a helmet if you’re gonna ride.”

She took it and then looked up at me. “You got me a helmet?”

I kissed her again, then helped strap it on her head. “Absolutely. You’re precious cargo, baby.”

Savannah threw her leg over and I got on in front of her. She wrapped her small hands around my waist and scooted closer to me. I reached back and squeezed her leg with my hand before taking off.

We flew down the roads as the sun started to slowly set. It created a beautiful pink and orange sky that made the Bitterroot mountains stand out against it.

We finally reached the next town over and pulled into the restaurant's parking lot. Fancy cars lined the parking spots, making my motorcycle look like a sore spot. I didn’t care, though. My woman liked it and so did I.

I parked and helped Sav off and took the helmet from her. I sat both on the bike and turned to give her another kiss when she pulled me down by the collar of my cut and crushed our lips together.

She pulled back and gazed up at me with a smile. “I didn’t get the chance to tell you how good you look tonight. Cut and all.”

I laughed and gently kissed her again. “I can clean up pretty nice when I try.”

Taking her hand in mine, I led her to the front door. The hostess smiled as we walked in and led us right to our table. I pulled Savannah’s chair out for her and then sat down across the table.

The decor in the place was very cozy and romantic. All brick walls with low lighting, deep green velvet seats with dark wood tables and chairs. They had Frank Sinatra’sFly Me to the Moonplaying softly above as the waitress brought us two glasses of water.

“I’m Arabella, and I’ll be your waitress today. Can I offer you our house wine to start?”

I nodded, and the girl smiled, then walked away. A few minutes later, she came back with two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine. She carefully poured it and then walked away again.

I raised my glass and swirled it before holding it up to Savannah. She giggled and did the same.

“Here’s to our first date and many more to come.”

We clicked glasses and then took a sip. Savannah placed hers down and winked at me from across the table.

“You seem so comfortable here.”

I just shrugged as I leaned back in my chair. “I’ve spent a good amount of time in places like this in my past life. It feels weird being back in this environment, but easy to slip back into.”
