Savannah grabbed a small box of cookies from the cabinet and handed them to me.
“Here. I made these earlier. Again, thank you for everything tonight.”
I took the cookies and placed them on the table next to me. Turning to Savannah, I stepped forward and pulled her into a hug.
“No, Sav. Thank you. You have no clue how much I enjoyed tonight. I’ll come by tomorrow and see you?”
She gazed up at me. “Dinner again?”
“Absolutely.”
She walked me to the front door, and I hopped on my bike. Waving, I waited until I saw her close the door until taking off.
I flew down the driveway toward the clubhouse. Tonight was amazing, and I didn’t even get laid.
As I pulled into the clubhouse, I couldn’t help but to keep smiling. I headed up to my room and laid out on my bed. Rolling over the pillow, it still smelled like Savannah; the warm smell of vanilla with hints of sweet orange, sandalwood, and geranium. It was such a unique scent that was so fitting for Savannah.
I closed my eyes when the thought came barreling to the front of my mind;I was fucking falling for Savannah.
It wasn’t like she was just a conquest or a game to be played with. From the first time my eyes landed on her, I had this unexplainable urge to protect her. This pull to her I just couldn’t shake off.
I truly wanted to be near her at all times. I wanted to know more about her and show her how a man should treat her. To take her on dates and spoil her rotten.
Savannah was the type of woman I wanted to show off to the world and claim as my Old Lady. I was in deep shit with this woman, but I was thrilled at the thought of it.
Chapter Nine
Aweekhadgoneby of me staying at Hope Hearted. Lloyd hadn’t shown his face in town and things were going pretty well.
It had also been a week of Hawk at dinner every night. He had been amazing in helping me reach out to the women in the house. Every night he brought me a new chocolate bar, and we started our own little routine; chocolate, catch up, cook, dinner, and watch tv.
Besides working at the diner, I had also started helping Luna renovate the apartment above Ellie Jo’s old bakery. We had completely stripped the old place and now were prepping to put new flooring down.
We had found beautiful wood flooring to put down through the whole place. Luna had even shown me how to rip down walls. When we did, we found all the old brick walls and kept those exposed.
Today we had finished putting in a cool grey and white designed tile in the bathroom. Luna and I pulled up to Hope Hearted to see an old black Porsche 911 sitting in the driveway.
I shrugged as we carried our bags up the stairs and through the front door. I could hear voices coming from the kitchen and headed in to see who was here.
A beautiful woman sat at the kitchen table. She had gorgeous dark brown hair that sat in a tight bun on the top of her head. Her tan skin looked like she had sat in the sun all day, but I couldn’t see a single tan line.
The woman had perfectly manicured nails and an obviously expensive dress on. Even her shoes looked high end.
As she turned around, I almost gasped at her beauty. Her make-up was done so subtly, yet just enough to show off her model-like face. Eyelashes that seemed to go on for miles hid her warm brown eyes.
She smiled at me as Luna pushed me into the kitchen. Standing, her mile long legs made mine look like short stubs.
The woman reached her hand out for me to shake. I slowly took it in mine as she spoke.
“Hi. I’m Lily Banks. The new house attorney for Hope Hearted. You must be Savannah.”
I nodded in silence. “Yes. Nice to meet you.”
The other women at the table smiled and left so I could take her seat. Luna elbowed me to sit.
Lily sat across from me and took out a manila folder from her bag.
“I’ve read quite a bit from what Bambi sent me, but I want to hear it from you. Do you have some time to go over what happened?”
