“Find something.”

She cracked a few eggs and threw them in the pan. Savannah moved over and put two pieces of bread in the toaster and then moved back to the stove. Bacon was put on another pan as she pushed the eggs around.

“I’m fine with what I do right now.”

Savannah turned to me with her hands on her hip. “And what is it you do? What is your big important job?”

“I’m the Road Captain.”

She rolled her eyes and turned back to the stove. “And what does that mean, Hawk?”

“I plan all the rides for the club.”

“That’s not a job. How do you make money? Other than rides, what do you do for the club?”

I ran my hand down my face and leaned back in the hair. “I check everybody’s bikes once a month, show the new guys the ropes on the road, and deal with law enforcement while on the road. I get paid to be a bouncer or bartender for Studio Forty-Eight. We also do some odd jobs around town.”

Savannah nodded as she chopped up some fruit. “So no real job, huh?”

“The club would never let me fall on my ass. We have plans for that. I just haven’t found what I want to do.”

She sat down plates of food in front of me, then sat down across the table. “Interesting.”

Savannah started to eat, and I couldn’t help but stare at her. She was fucking gorgeous without a trace of make-up on and her hair all tousled about on top of her head.

I could just imagine waking up next to her after having her in my bed all night. Hair flying around as I sunk into her...

I shook my head and shoved some food into my mouth. Savannah was quietly eating her food while eyeing me.

“You okay?”

I nodded and took a sip of juice. “Yup.”

Savannah glanced at me, then went back to eating. There was just something about this woman that begged me to spend more time with her. It was a feeling I had never felt before. It made my heart beat faster and my stomach dropped.

Everything about Savannah scared the shit out of me. How one woman could make me feel all messed up was beyond me. All I knew was that I needed more of her before I lost my mind.

I wanted to feel more of her on the back of my bike, to have her hands on me all night long. Even just sitting here at the kitchen table felt good with her.

Savannah placed her cup down and cleared her throat. “I have to work today. So I’ll need a ride to the diner.”

“Nope. No work until we find Lloyd.”

She glared at me from across the table. “Yes, I have work. Unlike you, I don’t have a club to back me. I need to make some money so I can get my own place. So you can either give me a ride or I’ll walk.”

Savannah leaned back and crossed her arms. It was like she screamed checkmate at me. Growling, I stood and placed my dishes in the sink.

“Fine. When do you have work?”

“Lunch and dinner rush.”

I leaned against the counter. “It’s seven in the morning now. I’ll just stick around until then. No sense of leaving just to come back.”

She shrugged. “That’s fine.”

“So what do you wanna do?”

A blush crept along her collarbone and up toward her cheeks. “Uhm.. nothing?”
