Sav gasped as she smacked me on the arm. “Why do you have to be so gross!”
It just made me laugh even more as Lily rolled her eyes.
“Not my type, but thanks for the plug. He’s my client anyway, so I’ll just stay far away. Back to talking about Sav.” Lily turned to Sav. “The girls miss you at Hope Hearted. You should swing by and see them.”
Savannah sighed. “I know. I’ve been so scared, but I know I need to suck it up and just get it over with. They’re all so sweet, so it doesn’t even make sense. Maybe I could put together a dinner for them…”
Lily smiled as she finished her coffee.
“That would be great. Set it up with Luna or Bambi and go see them. Those women need you more than you think. But anyway, I gotta get going. Catch you later!”
Lily walked out, and I turned to Sav. “Alright, baby. Let’s make those plans for your future.”
She turned from the paper with a huge grin on her face. “No.”
“Uh... what?”
Sav laughed as she stood up and walked toward me.
“Nope. I have an even better plan. Come here so I can tell you.”
Sav and I were standing outside. The crisp fall air felt perfect as the leaves on the trees started to change.
“You sure you wanna do this, baby?”
Savannah turned to me. She had this whole glow about her I couldn't get enough of.
“I’m sure. This is exactly what I want to do.”
Webothlookedupto gaze at the beautiful craftsman style home before us. It had cedar beams with dark green siding, along with stone on certain parts of the home.
It had four bedrooms and a beautiful backyard, and plenty of space to grow. The three-car garage had space for a small workshop, plus the cars.
“This is perfect, babe.”
Sav just stared at the house. “I know. It really is.”
“Go ahead and make the call.”
She giggled and jumped into my arms. “I’m so happy.”
As Sav walked away to make the call, I walked around the house one last time to make sure it was just right. A few minutes later, Sav came back over to me.
“All set, they’re on the way!”
A few minutes later, Moose and his two kids, Maddox and Nova, pulled up in his huge black Chevy truck. They all hopped out and came over to Sav and I.
After hugging everybody, Moose looked up at the house.
“You finally buying a house? This place is beautiful. Right off Main Street too. Sweet find, man.”
I laughed while Sav tried to keep it together.
“Nope. Sav is buying the house. This is all her.”
Moose turned to Sav and pulled her into a monster hug.
“I’m proud of you, babe! This is amazing.”
