More officers came over and pushed Sav into the crowd of us bikers as Eckhart tried to fight to get to Savannah.
She burst into tears as I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her toward the back of the room. All of my brothers formed a circle around us to protect her from that monster.
As the officers dragged him away yelling and screaming, the judge stood there in shock.
“Court is adjourned for the day!”
He walked off, leaving all of us in the courtroom. Lily pushed through the crowd of bikers and pulled Savannah toward her.
“I am so sorry, Sav. I didn’t think he would go off like that…”
Sav sniffled and moved back into my arms.
“It’s okay. I would like to go home now. When do we need to come back?”
“We’ll probably be back in a week. Go home and rest.”
But before we could get to my bike, my parents came walking over. I hadn't seen them in years, yet they looked the same as when I left NYC.
My father eyed me. “Wyatt.”
“Hello.”
My mother had a small tear in her eye, but it made me feel nothing but rage. She was a horrible woman who manipulated people.
My father cleared his throat. “Should have known you would never change. We came here to help you. I can make a deal with the board and get you back to working in the office... if you can keep your nose out of others’ business.”
I barked out a laugh. “Why would I want that? I can be myself here. I have people who care about me here. There’s no pretending, no faking it, I can be who I want to be in this town. Not to mention none of my brothers hurt innocent people.”
“A thug? A criminal? Don’t be ridiculous. You’re only making your life more difficult.”
“You need to leave. You and mother are not welcome here.”
My mother stepped forward. “Wyatt, dear. Please stop. You’re making headlines back home in our groups. People are talking about you again.”
I shrugged. “So let them. I’m standing up for people here. Standing up against people like you two. The rich who think they can do whatever they want.”
My father glared. “I’ve had enough, Wyatt. I will not have you dragging our family name through the mud yet again.”
Savannah stepped next to me. “Your son has done nothing wrong. He saved me. He’s saved countless other people. Why would you want him to stop?”
“He’s saved nobody! All Wyatt has done is make a mockery of this family!”
“The only person making a mockery of your family is you, sir.”
I took Savannah’s hand and pulled her toward me. My love, my soulmate, my everything. She’s worth every heartache, every single ounce of pain.
Shaking my head, I looked at my parents. “You can either leave quietly and go back to your lives, or I will unveil all the secrets. Every single last one will be broadcasted to the world. Want to play dirty? I play even dirtier now.”
My mother gasped. “You wouldn’t dare.”
“Try me. You’re getting into bed with Eckhart and that’s just an awful choice. He’s going down and will take both of you down with him.”
My father grabbed my mom and glared at me. “This isn’t over, Wyatt.”
“But it is, father. I know you don’t want all your affairs with barely legal girls coming out, huh?”
“Shut your mouth right now!”
