My phone vibrated and I looked down to see Lily calling.
“Hey, Lily. What’s up?”
“I’m heading over to your place now.”
“Doors unlocked, see you soon.”
I hung up, and Sav popped her head out of the blanket.
“Lily is coming over?”
I nodded. “Yeah, baby. How’s your head feeling?”
She shrugged. “A bit better. I think I’m gonna put more oil on it. Luna gave me a really nice migraine blend. Lilah also told me to drink tons of water and eat protein. Do we have any deli meat in the fridge?”
“Yeah. You stay here and I’ll go get everything for you.”
I got up and went into the kitchen. Grabbing a glass, I filled it with cold water from the fridge and rolled up some turkey on a plate. The essential oil roller was sitting right on the counter, so I grabbed that and headed back to the living room.
Savannah was sitting up now, which was a good sign. I placed the plate and cup down and handed her the roller bottle.
“After Lily leaves, let’s get you into the tub with an ice pack on your neck.”
She smiled up at me and softly kissed my lips. “You’re the best, Hawk.”
The front door squeaked open, and I could hear Lily’s heels tapping against the wood floors.
Lily came around the corner and looked around the living room.
“Rough day?”
Sav just nodded. “Migraine.”
Lily sat down in the armchair and pulled out her notebook.
“I just wanted to go over a few things before our court date on Monday. You up for it?”
“Yeah. My only concern is the lights…”
I squeezed her hand and looked at Lily.
“Can they make accommodations for her?”
“I’m going to try my best but can’t make any promises.”
Sav sighed and leaned back on the couch. “Great. What else did you want to talk about?”
“Eckhart will be there, so just be prepared. Other than that we’re going to be fine.”
I looked at Lily and whispered, “Will they have extra security there as well?”
She nodded. “Yes. I’ve already requested it. Please tell everybody to be on their best behaviors.”
Sav pulled the blanket up and closed her eyes. Lily frowned at her and got up from the armchair.
“I’ll give you guys a call later. Get some rest, Sav.”
She lightly groaned as Lily walked toward the door. I followed behind her and stopped in the doorway.
