“Oh, fuck.”
A wave of nausea comes over me, and I rush to the bathroom, flying to my knees. Just as I lift the cover, everything in my stomach comes up.
Goose is right there, holding my hair back and rubbing my back. He stops for only seconds to call Striker and call Church.
“Babe, it’s okay. I’ve got you. Let it all up.”
I just nod as more bile comes flying into the toilet. Once I’m done, Goose lifts me up and carries me into the shower.
He carefully cleans me and helps me brush my teeth and get dressed. Goose grabs a pair of rose pink and black boho style palazzo pants and pairs them with a black tank top and black sweater.
I reach for a pair of black studded sandals and slowly put them on while Goose gets dressed.
He reaches out to me and takes my hand in his. “Angel. I’ve got you and will never let anything bad happen to you. I always promise to protect you.”
Goose pulls me into him and holds me tight. I can feel how tense his body is. He pulls back and holds my face in his powerful hands.
“I mean it, Bambi. Sixteen years ago, I promised I would always protect you. I can’t lose you. We’re gonna get through this together. You and me always.”
I wrap my arms around his stomach and breathe in his musky scent. Goose is my safe place; my home.
Pulling back, I nod as he leads me out the door and down to his motorcycle. He starts it as we both clip our helmets on and climb on.
I wrap my arms tight around him as he rides through town. Tears flow down my face as we fly down the road.
I am never going to get over seeing Tiffani’s bloody mangled hand sitting in that styrofoam box or the terrorizing note telling me to stay far away from Goose...
