“You need more?”

“Fuck yeah, brother. All the gasoline you can get.” Joker laughs and runs back outside. I turn to my brothers, “Pull their teeth out, cut their fingers off. Leave no trace of who they are.”

We all get to work as Joker brings more containers of gasoline in. Some men pass out from the pain, but we wake them right back up.

When we’re done, I sit back to look at our handy-work. “Good job, brothers. Grab a can and pour that shit all over.”

I pick one up and pour it all over the men tied together. They choke as I dump the gasoline over their heads.

Satisfied with our work, we walk outside, pouring more gasoline behind us. We walk around the building pouring more gasoline on the outside.

We throw the empty canisters back into the building and shut the door. I turn back to Striker and smile.

“All set, Pres. Light those motherfuckers up.”

Striker laughs and takes out a pack of matches. “Get back, boys.”

We all rush back as he strikes the match against the pack, setting the small stick on fire. He throws it at the base of the door and it’s instantly engulfed in flames.

I stand and watch as the Shadow Raiders clubhouse goes up in flames. Windows explode as the fire blazes through the building. We let everything burn down along with all the demons and ghosts of the past.

Maverick pats me on the shoulder. “Let’s go, brother.”

I turn around and follow him out to the road where we had parked our bikes. We all get on and start down the road.

Time to go home and get back to my woman.

––––––––

WE FINALLY GET BACKto the Clubhouse and I drive right past it to get to the medical center. I know Striker and Mav are on their way to see their Old Ladies too.

It’s fucking three in the morning, but I can’t wait until a normal time to see her. I need to just hold my angel in my arms to make me feel like a human again. To remind me I had some good in me. I wasn’t just a killing machine, and Bambi reminded me of that every time I looked into those gorgeous blue eyes.

She’s my light and I need her more than ever after tonight. Just like Striker and Mav are off to unload their sins by loving up on a good woman, that’s where I’m heading.

My angel is waiting for her devil to come and relinquish his sins onto her.

I peel into the Medical Center’s parking lot and shut my motorcycle off. My heart is beating faster than ever before because this time, I have something to look forward to.

Walking in, I greet the new security guard and make my way up the stairs. Amanda, the nurse, is at the nurses’ station and smiles when she sees me.

“Morning, Goose. Zane and Bambi were sleeping before I left last night. He seems to be doing much better since Bambi came around.”

“She brings out the best in everybody, Amanda.”

I walk past her and toward Zane’s closed door. Taking a deep breath, I slowly open the door to the dim room.

Looking around, I don’t see Bambi at all. I check the bathroom, then turn and walk back out.

“Amanda, Bambi isn’t in there. Did you see her leave?”

She shakes her head, and I walk back to Zane’s room. There’s this sinking feeling in my heart that something isn’t right.

I walk right over to Zane’s bed and gently shake him awake. “Brother, wake up. Come on.”

He groans and rolls over to look at me. “What the fuck do you want?”

“Where’s Bambi?”
