We are just starting to place the food out when Thor comes walking in the kitchen.

“Hey ladies! Bambi, can I grab you for a minute?”

“Sure! What’s up?”

He smiles and turns back into the hallway. A beautiful blonde woman comes out from behind him.

She has these icy blue eyes that pop against her tan skin. Her blonde hair is pulled into braids and a ponytail that gives her a faux mohawk look.

Upon a closer look, she has gorgeous tattoos on her hands and upper arms. I smile and hold out my hand.

“Hi, I’m Bambi!”

She smiles and shakes my hand. “I’m Astrid.”

Thor steps up and puts his hand on her shoulder. “This is my baby sister. She’s living at my place for now while I stay here at the Clubhouse.”

“But not forever. I want to buy some land here and build my home. Erik here tells me how great it is and I just want to be close to the family I have left.”

I smile at her and nod. “I understand that. Well, this town is a great place to live and the club will always have your back. You’ve bartended before?”

“Yup. I also have a background in breeding and training horses. Another reason I need land. My guy is at a farm until I can get him a nice home.”

Lilah steps up and smiles. “We can help you with that. If you want him close, call me and we can set him up at our barn. Here’s my number. I’m Lilah.”

She hands Astrid a piece of paper and gets back to work. Willow hands her another one.

“Here’s my number. I’m Willow and my husband, Maverick, can help you with the land and house. He built ours!”

Astrid takes the papers and puts them in her pocket. “Thank you, girls! I’m excited to start over.”

Thor pulls her into him. “We lost ourAfi, grandfather, a few months back. He was all we had, and it’s been rough. But I’m just glad to have Astrid here with me.”

I pat him on the arm. “We’ll take good care of her. Make sure the boys don’t need you for anything. Your sister is safe here.”

He laughs and kisses her on top of the head. “Alright. I’ll see you in a few.”

We all chat as we set dinner up. Astrid is going to fit right in.
