Groaning, I lean back on the bar. “Fucking nothing. I don’t know, man. Bambi is a fucking mystery.”

“Maybe to you she is, but it’s clear to everybody else how she feels about you. You mess around with all these otherputas, but lose your mind when another guy even looks at Bambi.”

“Whatever, Joker. What the fuck does Ellie Jo want, and why was she talking to you about it?”

Joker’s phone goes off, and he grabs it out of his pocket. “I’ll be right back. Gotta take this call.”

With that, he hurries out of the strip club. I turn back to the bottle of whiskey and take a huge sip. Joker doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Shifting back to watch the stage, I can see all the girls moving to the side.

Tiffani walks out and crooks her finger at me before winking. I groan and turn back to the bar. She’s going to get me in trouble with fucking everybody around here. The rule is no touching the talent, and that goes for everybody; Brothers included.

The red-headed bartender comes back, walks over to me, and grabs the bottle out of my hands. “Don’t fucking touch the alcohol. Everything’s counted already and now you fucked it all up!”

I laugh and grab the bottle back from her. “Sweetheart, I do whatever the fuck I want around here. Learn your place or you won’t last too long.”

She screeches and slams the bottle down on the bar, causing it to crack. The whiskey starts to slowly trickle out.

“I quit! I fucking quit! I will not be disrespected around here! You think just because you ride a motorcycle, you’re some big badass man. Well, newsflash asshole! You’re not!”

Mad Dog comes running out from behind the stage. “What the fuck is going on right now?”

I smile and lean back on the bar. “Red here quits. She’s going on and on about something.”

He runs his hand down his face and points at her. “Calmly, tell me what’s going on. You yell, you’re out.”

Red takes a deep breath and points at me. “HIM. He is the problem. He just comes in, rummages through Bambi’s office. Gets handsy with Tiffani. And now he’s drinking all my alcohol!”

Mad Dog just shakes his head. “Pack your shit. I told you patched members drink for free anytime. He’s a patched member. I doubt he got handsy with Tiffani, that girl has had the hots for him since she came to this town.”

“Ugh! Fuck all of you! I’m leaving town tonight. I cannot believe I thought this was going to be such a good job. This is nothing like the TV shows!”

She whips her purse out from under the bar and flies out the door. Mad Dog and I burst out laughing.

“Fuck, Mad Dog. Hire somebody with some balls next time. Red had an attitude the minute I sat my ass down at this bar.”

He looks around the room at the girls staring and waves his hand. They all scatter and he takes a seat next to me.

“Brother. You have to stop running my bartenders off.”

I laugh and grab a cloth to clean up the alcohol. “I’m just being myself, man. The always charming Goose.”

Mad Dog laughs as Joker comes back into the strip club. “That’s the fucking problem. You aren’t as charming as you think you are.”

Joker joins us and laughs. “Charming at first, burro. Then the next morning you kick them to the curb.”

“Ah, fuck you guys.” Mad Dog and Joker laugh as I finish cleaning up the spilled whiskey. I throw the wet rag at Joker, “Everything good, man?”

He whips the rag back at me. “Yeah, Brother. Things are falling into place. Getting a new shipment of guns from my contacts on the East Coast.”

“Good. Now, what’s this shit about Ellie Jo?”

Mad Dog spits his water out all over the bar top. “That fucking crazy bitch at it again? I thought Willow put her in her place.”

Joker just shrugs. “Who the fuck knows. She was running around town looking for you, Goose. Crying about how she has something sheneedsto tell you.”

I slam my head down on the bar. “Fuck.”

“Yeah, man. Then she went on telling that sexy little kindergarten teacher-”
