This retribution is going to be our biggest one yet, and we need every weapon we can get our hands on. Nobody fucks with my club, my family or my woman.

Chapter Fourteen

Bambi

––––––––

IT WAS TAKING LONGERthan I expected for Goose to get back.Something must have gone wrong.

I sigh and look over to Lilah’s closed door. She locked herself in there for hours now. Mama Crawford tried to console her, but she just refuses to talk.

While the men are at the clubhouse, Willow and I watch the kids. Scarlett and Knox don’t seem to notice what’s going on, but Colton sure does.

He’s a mama’s boy and knows that his mama is hurting. Colton is busy drawing a card for Lilah when my phone rings.

I smile and ruffle his hair as I get up and head into the kitchen. I swipe to answer the call and Goose’s soothing voice comes over the line.

“Hey, angel. I’m on my way there. Stay put and don’t go outside. Okay?”

“You’re scaring me. What’s going on?”

I can hear the rumble of his motorcycle, “I’ll tell you when I get there. I love you, Bambi.”

“I love you too.”

He hangs up and I turn to see Willow standing in the kitchen door.

“Everything okay?”

I shake my head, “I don’t think so. Something is wrong and I think we may be in danger...”

Willow nods and then turns to look at her twins, a glint of tears in her eyes.

“It’s them, isn’t it? Snake is coming to get me.”

I walk up to her and wrap my arms around her. “I won’t let them get you, girl. Snake wants me too, and I would rather him take me. You have those beautiful babies to care for.”
