In another corner sits a white macrame chair swing hanging from the ceiling. A fuzzy white carpet sits underneath and string lights hang down the wall.
Everything Bambi touches is classy and magazine like. She may look wild from the outside, but inside she’s a minimalist with an elegant touch.
I turn back to watch Bambi on the bed. She’s wearing a tight pair of skinny jeans and a tiny white crop top. I can see her angel wings tattoo covering her whole back, peeking out from under the top. The details are amazing and they look incredibly real. Bambi is an angel in everybody’s eyes, so the tattoo is fitting.
Leaning against the door frame, I watch as Bambi taps her pen against a notebook and bops her head to the music coming from her headphones. She props her feet up and I can see her toes are painted a bright pink.
Bambi rolls over and then screams when she sees me, making me jump back. She rips out her headphones and grabs a book from her bed.
“Hey, babe.”
Bambi screams again and throws the book at my head. I dodge it and step into her room. Her perfect blonde hair flies around her face as she sits up.
“What the fuck, Goose! You can’t just break into my home whenever you feel like it! What if I was doing something else? Or thought you were a burglar and shot you?”
I laugh and walk over to Bambi, pulling her into me as we both collapse on the bed. “Don’t be ridiculous. You weren’t answering your phone or your door and I got worried. You’ve been so busy lately. I just miss you, babe.”
I run my hand up her thigh and over her flat stomach, watching as goosebumps spread across every spot I touch.
Bambi pushes off of me and gets off the bed, walking over to her door. “Get out. Get out, Goose. You cannot just come and go as you please. This is my home. My safe haven. My oasis. You need to leave.”
I quickly get up and stalk over to her. Grabbing her hips, I back her up against the wall and thrust my jean-covered groin into her. “Come on, baby. You know you missed me too. Let’s just have some fun before you dive back into that book.”
“No. No more, Goose. You can’t just have me whenever you want. I’m not a club girl anymore. Get your hands off of me and get the fuck out of my home.”
Roughly, I grab her face in my hands and slam my lips over hers. I shove my tongue past her sweet honey-flavored lips as Bambi moans.
My angel was back in my arms. I could feel the light shining over my black heart...
Her hands come up to my chest and she moves in closer to me as our tongues swirl together. I gently bite down on her bottom lip and grab her hips.
Bambi quickly pushes back and stares up at me. Her baby blue eyes with that gorgeous gold halo around them turns stormy and dark.
“Get out. Get the fuck out, Goose! You can’t keep doing this!” She paces around her bedroom, her hands flying around her. “You think you can just waltz in here and take what you want. Well, I have news for you, asshole. I’m not your fuck toy anymore! Go find some other club bunny to take care of your needs. I have goals, Goose. Fucking goals! And I won’t have you ruin them. Damn it, just please get out. I don’t want to do this anymore. I hate you. I hate you with every bone in my body.”
I lean up against the wall with my arms crossed. “Are you done, Bambi? Because we both know you don’t hate me. We’ve been through too much together for you to hate me. Are you seeing someone? Is that who brought you those flowers? Is that what's going on? Don’t fucking play games with me.”
“Oh my God! Are you serious? I can see and fuck whoever I want. Maybe he makes me feel like more than some club girl. Did you ever think of that? That maybe I deserve more?”
Running my hand through my hair, I let out a deep breath. “You know that’s not what I meant. You know what I feel for you, Bambi.”
She turns and points at me, an angry scowl on her face. “Do I, Goose? Because you haven’t really shown me how you feel lately. Unless you mean how much you don’t care about me or my future. Or how much of a double standard you carry around, and how much you love fucking any girl who looks your way. Please don’t try and fool me. I’m fucking done. Get out, Goose.”
Turning, I walk out of the bedroom and into her living room. Bambi follows me and I smirked as I sit my ass right down on her perfect couch, messing up all her pillows.
Bambi puts her hands on her hips and stares me down. “Goose. I’m not asking again. Get the fuck out.”
I lean back and spread my arms across the back of the couch, kicking my feet up on her coffee table. “Nah. Gonna take a nice little rest here.”
She growls and turns into her kitchen. I can hear her opening a drawer and moving things around. Bambi comes back out and points a matte black handgun at me.
“Get the fuck out, Sawyer. I’m not playing games anymore. You have five seconds to get out or I will shoot you.”
I jump up in disbelief. “Are you fucking kidding me right now? Where did you get that, Bambi?”
“Five, four, three...”
“Okay! I’m leaving, for fuck’s sake! You’re crazy, woman. Fucking certifiable crazy. This isn’t over, you know.”
