I just shrugged. “Don’t know what you’re talking about, baby sis.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. No more funny business in my medical center, Mav! We have rules here.”

Willow laughed and playfully nudged Lilah with her shoulder. Both women giggled as I sighed. These two were quickly becoming thick as thieves.

I narrowed my eyes at her. “Rules that you and Striker follow all the time, right?”

Lilah just shrugged her shoulders and smiled. “I don’t know what you are talking about, Mav.”

All three of us laughed as we grabbed a tray and headed to a table. I grabbed Willow’s so she could hold her cane and Orion.

I had a special harness ordered for him with a handle on top so he could help Willow walk around.

As we finished up lunch, my phone vibrated and I looked down. “Sorry, ladies. Club business is calling. I’ll be back by dinner time to make sure you eat and get in bed okay.” I leaned over and softly kissed Willow on the lips. “I love you, babe.”

Willowed smiled up at me. “I love you, Mav.”

I kissed Lilah on top of the head and walked out to the parking lot. My motorcycle is parked right up front and I hopped on. The engine roared to life and I took off down the road.

––––––––

IMADE IT DOWNTOWNto an old brick building. It sat right at the end of Main Street and it was in great condition. I smiled as I saw Wrench, Joker, Striker, and Goose standing outside waiting for me.

Parking the bike, I hopped off and walked over. “Circle jerk convention in town today, fuckers?”

We all laughed and Striker stepped forward. “Fuck you, Mav. Do you want the keys or not?”

I smiled as I pulled him into a hug. “It’s done?”

He nodded and I walked up to the door and put the key in. I opened the door and they all walked in behind me. It was empty right now, but soon it would be full of art supplies.

With the help of the club, we bought the old building. I had plans to turn it into an art studio where Willow could do classes for kids and adults. She could share her love for art with our small town and help bring in new visitors.

We all looked around and Wrench started to write ideas down already. “Do little kids tables over there. Bigger ones here. Small office in the back for her. I want Moonshine to get the best damn security he can here asap. No way I’m not locking this place down.”

Joker nodded in agreement. “I want regular cameras as well as hidden ones. We’ll make sure Willow knows. Security film on the windows as well. I’ve got some guys I can get in touch with. Snake is ruthless and now he won’t stop at anything to get back at Willow.”

Goose looked at me and nudged me with his shoulder. “Whatcha think, Brother? Is this good enough for your woman? Enough to get her to like me again? Listen...I’m sorry for everything. There’s just a lot of shit going on.”

“Shit happens. Just tell me what the fuck is going on next time. Always here for you, Brother. This is more than enough for Willow...She’s gonna fucking love it. Is Bambi and Lilah gonna help with the decorating and shit?”

Goose laughed. “Yeah, they’re pretty excited. Found Willow’s Pinterest account and I guess she had a...whatever it’s called, all about a dream studio or some shit.”

We all laughed and Joker patted me on the back. “You’ve done good my man. Willow’sAbuelowould have loved you.”

Joker had been hanging around here while Willow recovered. He had been working with us to overthrow his current President, Snake. Once he got his guys out of there, our club would retaliate. Then, Joker would have the opening to get in and take over.

It was going to take awhile and he wanted to make sure we had all our women safe before attacking. We had formed a brotherhood with him while he hung around Willow.

Heels on the hardwood floor made me look up to see Bambi strolling into the building. “Shit, Mav! This is a nice place! Willow is going to love it. I’m just dropping by some stuff to leave here. Also, I need some Prospects to paint this place for me. It needs a fresh coat and I’m redoing the office for Willow.”

I nodded as she walked over to stand next to Joker. Goose growled as Joker eyed Bambi. I laughed and nudged him.

“You okay, Goose?”

He glared at me then cleared his throat. “Yeah. I’m fine. Bambi, shouldn’t you be at the Clubhouse?”

She turned on her heel and put her hands on her hips, glaring at Goose. Bambi was chewing bright pink bubble gum and blew a big bubble then popped it. “Nah. I’m good right where I am,Goose.”
