I laughed and took the food and coffee then gave her a kiss on the head. “Thanks, baby sis. See you later.”

I headed out the door and saw my motorcycle sitting right out front. One of my brothers must have brought it here for me. I stuffed the sandwich in my saddlebag and chugged the coffee. Packing the cup in my other bag, I got on my bike and started it.

The motorcycle roared to life and I smiled. Nothing like the sound of an engine to start the morning off right. I headed down the driveway to the road toward the clubhouse. The fresh air felt great and I sped through downtown.

As I reached the compound, the Prospects opened the gates for me. I parked right next to Striker’s bike and headed inside.

There were a few brothers hanging around the bar and I spotted Knuckles, Moonshine, and the Prospect Erik. I walked over to them and nodded.

“Listen up because I’m not repeating this. I’m sorry about last night. Thanks for looking out for me, brothers.”

They all nodded back and smiled. Striker came down the stairs and pointed to me.

“Feeling better, Mav?”

I nod and head toward him. “Yeah, I am. I also want to say sorry for last night. I was out of line and said some things I shouldn’t have.”

Striker just laughed, “Brother, it’s good. We all have those moments. Let’s just never have a repeat. Now get into Church. We have a lot to talk about.”

The machine roared to life and started to spit out bitter black liquid. The noise woke up Orion and he groaned as he stretched his fuzzy white legs.

“Well good morning sleepy head. We’re heading back today after a little breakfast. Do you need to go out?”

Orion barked and wagged his tail. Laughing, I opened the sliding door and let him out. He ran toward the woods, happy as can be.

I shook my head and turned back into the van. After a quick breakfast of muffins and coffee, I started to pack everything up.

Orion had just came back when I started to clean up our little fire site. A small rustle in the woods made me jump and look around. Seeing nothing, I continued to clean up.
