He placed his leather cut on the back of the armchair, then pulled his black t-shirt over his head.
Willow just laughed as she admired Joker’s toned body covered in tattoos. He may be like a big brother to her, but she was a red-blooded woman who could still admire a real man.
Mary knocked again and Joker carefully opened the door.
“Can I help you, Mary?”
Her greying hair was in a mess on top of her head and her clothes looked dingy and dirty.
“Oh, hi, Joker! I didn’t know you were here. I was just looking for my daughter. Is Willow around?”
“We’re a little...busy. Is this an emergency? I don’t like being interrupted.”
Mary nervously twisted her hands, “I was just worried about her, that’s all. She hasn’t been around the clubhouse in awhile.”
Joker laughed, “Good try,Coño. What do you really want?”
Mary went from mousy to mean in seconds. Her face scrunched up and she growled.
“I want to see my fucking daughter. Snake won’t be happy to hear that you’re blocking me from her.”
“Do you forget who you’re talking to,puta madre?Get the fuck out of here before I call Snake and let him know how disrespectful you’re being to an officer.”
Mary went to push past Joker when Willow came out into the living room. She was in a silky black robe that came just below her butt. Her warm brown hair was rustled and her make-up smudged.
Willow leaned up against the wall with her arms crossed.
“Can I fucking help you?”
Mary huffed and glared at Willow.
“I should have known you were fucking Joker. Looks like you aren’t as innocent as you claim.”
Joker growled and got closer to Mary.
“Don’t talk to her like that. You need to leave, Mary. Right fucking now. Don’t make things more difficult.”
“I’m not going down this easy, Willow! Just give them the money and this will all go away. Help your mama out, baby girl.”
Willow just shook her head as she walked closer to her mother.
“You have never been a mother to me. Get the fuck away from me and figure this mess out yourself. I’m not the one shoving drugs up my nose and in my veins.”
Mary screamed as she leaped toward Willow. Joker grabbed her before she could even step foot in the house. He threw her onto the lawn and stood right in the doorway.
“Now, Mary. Leave now and don’t ever show up here again. Next time I won’t be as nice.”
She quickly got up and ran down the street. Joker turned and slammed the door. He leaned against it as Willow collapsed into his arms.
Willow sobbed as Joker rubbed her back.
“They’re never going to stop. I have to disappear, it’s the only way.”
Joker kissed the top of her head as he held her tight.
“I know,Princesa. It’s going to hurt but this is the only way for you to be safe. Go get dressed and we’ll get you moving.”
Willow pulled away and slowly walked to her bedroom as Joker sat down on the couch. He put his head in his hands and sighed.
