The childhood princess in me swoons at his words. Every girl wants a knight in shining armor that come to their rescue and sweeps them off their feet. Maybe not by a giant bee, but that’s beside the point. I can’t stop the joy fluttering in my chest, but my brain nags me to see reason. I shut my stupid brain up. We can worry about logistics later. We haven’t even had breakfast.
I hold his jaw. “Let’s just take this one day at a time. Have you ever experienced an Earth shower before?” He doesn’t smell—well, maybe he does, and I’m just too infatuated with him to notice—but after the night we just had, he probably would appreciate one. Besides, I need just a few moments without his presence so near. My pussy already throbs, and she needs to cool her jets for a second, or something down there’s going to get injured.
He gives a forced smile. “We shower on my planet.”
I put my hands up in mock defense as I get up from the bed. “I’m not suggesting you don’t. I’m just saying I have a pretty amazing loofa that might rock your world.”
He crawls over to me and stands, grabbing me and pulling my body to his. “Only if you join me.” His hardened dick presses against me.
I can’t help the gasp that escapes from me. My body tingles and I’m just about to give into him, his lips hovering over me. A grumble from my stomach brings me back to my senses, and I give him a quick peck on the lips before pushing away and charging toward the kitchen.
He groans.
“I need to finish breakfast! Once we have food in us, we can discuss more fun activities. Now, take a shower.”
“Fine, I’ll take your silly Earth shower, but if you feel lonely out there, you are welcome to join,” he calls before shutting the bathroom door.
I don’t realize the breath I’ve been holding until I’m finally alone. What am I going to do? Not just about falling for an alien, but also about Kent, my business—my sanity. At the end of the day, I’m just a girl. How can I figure this out on my own?
I finish buttering the toast and bring the plates to the bar table in the corner of my kitchen. It probably smells like sex in here and isn’t helping with the pheromones clouding all my reasons. I open my window before sitting at a stool at the table and scrolling on my phone. Maybe a dose of other people’s lives on social media will help me remember what normal people are like.
Three zaps bring my attention to my living room. My heart stops and my phone drops from my hand.
The three large bee men spot me and walk toward me. The shortest of the three opens his mouth and makes a series of buzzing sounds. They’re all staring me down, their antennas moving in different directions.
I finally find my voice when there only a few steps away from me. “Uh, hi, guys. Baryx is just in the shower. He should be out shortly.”
I wondered if I would feel the same way I do for Bee if I ever met more of his kind. It’s hard to decipher if my attraction tohim is based on his evolutionary design or if, like he always says, we’re made for each other. Looking at these three, I know he’s been right. I feel nothing. Well, not nothing; they’re absolutely scaring the crap out of me.
The tallest of the three, the one with a black mohawk and a scar across his severe eyes, grabs my arm as the other two crowd in.
“Hey! Watch it, man!” I yell, but it’s too late. One sticks me with a needle, and everything blurs until I’m surrounded by darkness.
Chapter 19: Jennessa
The endless darkness ends as my eyes slowly blink open. My head pounds and I’m surrounded by a bone-chilling coldness. I sit up before I take in my surroundings, rubbing my eyes and registering awareness of all parts of my body.
My consciousness slowly starts to clear until I realize I’m not in my apartment in New York City. Maybe I’m at a doctor’s office? Nope, definitely not that.
I’m lying on the floor in a small room constructed of some white metal.
“Hello?” I call. Maybe someone will come in and explain where I am.
Nothing happens.
I look down at my body to find my grey T-shirt and underwear. Seeing my clothing brings back the memories of the last moments of my consciousness.
Giant bee aliens have kidnapped me.
My heart pounds, and I feel a panic attack rising in my throat. I stand to my feet, rushing toward the walls to feel for a handle or if there’s any way out of here. I only search for a few seconds before pounding and yelling for help.
A robotic voice sounds from overhead. “Please remain calm. Your current heart rate is at 180. Think of peaceful thoughts and breathe in and out.”
“Fuck that! Let me out, and then I’ll think about calming down!” I yell up. I can’t even see an intercom to where the sound might have come from.
I wait for a reply that never comes, pacing in circles in the bare room. My mind spins with horrible possible scenarios. Are they going to dissect me? Am I pregnant, and they’re going to keep me here until I deliver the baby? Did Bee know this was going to happen? Did he set me up? Sure, I felt his love and devotion, but I don’t know anything about his species. They could have evolved to have uncanny acting skills.
Fuck. This is bad.
