Page 24 of Bad Beehavior

“Kent,” my voice shakes, but I don’t need to say more because a fuzzy black and yellow arm wraps around his throat and pulls him back. Bee, in his large form, drags Kent across the tiled floor until he reaches the light switch. The last thing I see is Bee’s hazel, heated eyes, matching the murderous expression on his face before he turns off the overhead lights, leaving us in complete darkness.

All I can hear is Kent’s strangled gasps for breaths until Bee’s gruff voice booms. “You’re lucky I didn’t let you get any closer. If you would have so much as touched a hair on her head, I would have ripped out your organs and fed them to you.”

Bee must have released some pressure on Kent’s throat because he gives a pathetic wail.

I should say something. Bee might kill Kent in my flower shop, and my life would get a whole lot more complicated, but I can’t find the words. I’m so angry at Kent that I can’t care enough to be the voice of reason, and honestly, it’s so hot how protective Bee is over me.

Bee must apply more pressure onto Kent’s throat because I hear what sounds like feet slapping against the floor and strangled gasps for breath. “I understand. Jennessa is the most precious being in this universe, but she is not yours. She is mine. Feel lucky that you experienced even a morsel of her attention, but realize that is all you will receive for the rest of your days. Now, stay away from Jennessa. Do not ever contact her again, or it will be the last thing you do.”

Something drops to the floor.

I hold my breath. At first, there’s no sound, and I think Kent must be dead, but then I hear what I believe are his limbs wiggling to life and panicked and exasperated breaths leaving him as he finds his way to his feet. He gives a terrified wail before the door to the shop swings open, light pooling in for a moment, and he escapes outside.

I catch Bee’s expression behind the door, watching me before the door shuts behind Kent. Bee has always been nothing but a gentleman, but the set of his jaw, the fire behind his eyes, all his reserve has disappeared.

A chill runs up my spine as a buzz zips through my veins.

The shop is completely silent—the only sound is my heavy breath and my heartbeat pumping to my ears.

After what feels like an eternity but is only just seconds, Bee’s footsteps echo throughout the store, getting closer and closer.

“Bee, you didn’t have to do that.” The sound of my words shock me. “I mean, thank you. It was nice that you protected me, and I don’t think he saw you, but it’ll probably just make him angrier. He’s going to come back. He’s a pussy. He’ll probably sue me or some shit now.”

Breath leaves my lungs as one of Bee’s hands wraps around my waist, and he jerks me against him, his hardened length pressing against me. His other hand wraps around the back of my neck, and he pulls my ear toward his lips. His breath brushes against me, and I give a soft moan.

“You are mine. You never need to worry about that creature again. I will protect you for the rest of my days.” His lips find mine, and he kisses me deeply as if his life depends on it.

My mind stops whirling for the first time in the past few days. I’m not conflicted. I’m not hating myself for being attracted to an alien. I’m certain. I want this man more than I want anything.

I kiss him back, running my hands against his chest.

He pulls away from my lips. “Jennessa, I need you. I need all of you,” he says between labored breaths.

“Fuck me,” I demand, my hands reaching for his cock. Of course, my body is reacting to him, but I know it’s more than that. I really like Bee. I don’t want him impregnating another girl. I want him to myself, and I want him to fill me completely.

If I thought his kisses and touch were hungry before, now it’s as if I flipped a switch and brought out a wild animal. He pushes me back until my ass presses against the counter.

I pull myself up, and my lips find his ear. “What about your mission?”

He pulls back.

My eyes have adjusted to the low light, and I can make out his features with him so close to me.

He studies me, running his fingers along my jaw. “I don’t care about my mission anymore. Even if you don’t want to have my offspring, having you would be enough.”

Of course, it’s a ridiculous statement. I’ve only known him for a few days, and he plans to give up his whole life to be with me. If he were a human man, I would think he’s just bullshitting me to get in my pants, but I can read him. He’s being sincere. I’ve been thinking that my magnetic attraction toward him is just his alien effect—-something artificial and only for a singular purpose, but what if it’s something different? He looks at me as if I’m the most precious gem in the world. We’re both feeling a force between us, and maybe, just maybe, it’s something real.

I wrap my hands around his neck, pulling him onto me as his hands wander up my shirt, finding my breasts covered by my bra.

I pull back, frantically grabbing my shirt and pulling it off of me, meeting his lips again as I work on unclasping the back of my bra.

Bee grabs the front of the fabric and rips it in half, and the broken remains fall around me.

I liked that bra, but having him rip the clothes off my body was hot as fuck.

He palms my bare breasts, and I moan as his fuzz brushes against my already-hardened nipples.

I need my pants off—urgently. Although I love the sensation of him caressing my breasts, I need him inside of me. Why the fuck did I decide to wear jeans today? I struggle with unbuttoning and trying to pull the denim around my ass.
