Well, at least you don’t deny it.
What can I say? I’m a work in progress.
I shook the voice away and relaxed deeper into the pillows. If my Rinny wanted to watch elves, orcs, and dwarves, who was I to argue?
* * *
I forgothow fucking much classes at Chapel Crest sucked. I trudged through the halls after dealing with more religious shit than I had the energy for, all while people kept their distance from me, whispering how my personalities had flipped again.
I was used to that. You didn’t run around as a diagnosed schizophrenic with multiple personalities and not get used to people giving you the side-eye like you were going to snap and do what the voices in your head told you to do.
I told you to rub one out this morning.
I swear to fuck…
What? You’ll actually get off?
Shut up.
Speaking of getting off. You need to help Shadow with his issues. Build his tolerance.
How the fuck do we do that?
I don’t know. You’re a smart rabbit. You’ll figure it out.
I shook my head, silencing the voice, and stopped outside the class where Sirena was with Sister May.
Sister May…
I cocked my head to the right as I nibbled on my carrot. I didn’t like any of the nuns here. Hell, I didn’t really like any officials here. They were all trash. Each one would meet their demise soon enough.
With Dante keeping the rabbit population down, the wolves were hungry. That brightened my day, at least.
“Seth,” Sully’s voice met my ears.
I immediately bristled and slowly looked over at him as he approached. With his hair slicked back, his expensive suit on, and that smirk on his fucking face, all I could think was that he looked like a dick with ears.
He stopped in front of me.
“Mr. Cain, why aren’t you in therapy?”
“I am,” I said dully. “Being alone is my therapy. You’re ruining it.”
Sully chuckled darkly. “My office. Now.”
I ground my teeth, but I did need to get into his office, so maybe this was a godsend. I pushed off the wall I was leaning against and followed him to his office. He whistled as he glided down the hall, and I took the opportunity to send a text to Shadow to let him know where I was headed and to get Sirena.
We made it inside Sully’s office minutes later, and he closed the door behind me and gestured for me to take a seat. I did so and stared at him as he perched on the edge of his desk and stared me down.
“Is therapy not working?”
“I already told you that you ruined it.”
He said nothing for a moment as he studied me. “Take the rabbit mask off.”
I glared at him through the opening for the eyes, but didn’t remove the mask.
He sighed and reached forward to remove it for me, but I grabbed his hand and got to my feet.
