Ashes and Sin were too busy gaming to even notice me, so I went outside and headed toward campus. I had no idea where I was going, but I found myself outside Asylum’s dorm room.

Before I could even knock on it, the door was opened, and Asylum greeted me.

“Uh… where’s rabbit boy?” I asked.

“In his burrow,” Asylum answered.

“Is it normal for you to flip and swap personalities like that…?”

“Yes.” Asylum stepped aside. “Be grateful I’m not the twenty-one year old sexy blonde college student with big tits who loves taking it in the ass.”

I wrinkled my nose as I stepped into his space. “OK…why?”

“Because I’d be calling you daddy.”

“You’re so fucking weird. Do you really have a female personality?”

“No.” He snorted. “I mean, I’ve never called you daddy, right?”

I shook my head at him. He was too wild.

“How did you know to open the door before I knocked?”

“I saw you coming. And to answer your next question, she’s finishing her shower, and Shadow ran to grab a pizza we ordered.”

I nodded and looked around.

“Come in. Take your shit off and relax.” Asylum flopped onto the bed he had scooted next to Shadow’s.

I hadn’t spent much time around Shadow since that night at the house, but I tried to be nice to him. He’d clearly been through hell like I had, so I couldn’t hate him as much now. Plus, he had a cool superpower, even if he hated it. I’d probably hate it too, and I was glad it wasn’t my issue, but it was cool just the same.

I took off my jacket and boots and sat in the overstuffed chair by the window, staring Asylum down.

“How’s it going?” I ventured.

“Good.” He pulled out a bag of Cheetos and speared one with his fork before munching on it.

“Are you eating Cheetos with a fork?”

“I don’t like when my fingers get cheese dust on them,” he answered, getting another Cheeto.

I shook my head at his antics.

“How have Sirena and Shadow been?” I asked.

“If you’re asking if they’ve fucked, the answer is no.”

“That wasn’t what I was asking,” I mumbled.

He chuckled. “Liar. I haven’t fucked her either if you’re wondering about that. Figured we’d touch all the bases.”

I sighed and didn’t say anything.

Sirena came out of the bathroom then. Her eyes zeroed in on me, and I sat up. She rushed to me and threw herself onto my lap.

“Hey, angel,” I laughed softly, cradling her face before I kissed her. “How’s my girl?”

She signed quickly, her eyes bright.
