“Not really. It’s doing too much. This one is cute, though.” She held up a yellow bra that had a flowery design.

“I can fuck with that. Let’s see if they have a pair of matching thongs.”

“Thongs?” she simpered.

“Yeah, baby. Ain’t like they gon’ stay on long, anyway.” I wrapped her in my arms and started kissing her neck. While she was bent down, I stood behind her to make sure no other niggas were looking at her ass, and plus, the view was nice as fuck. While I was feeling on my girl, the last person I wanted to see approached me.

“Demetric, can I talk to you?” Paris approached me with a solemn look on her face. The sound of my name being called made Daizha stand straight up.

“We don’t have nothing to talk about Paris,” I grit.

“I think we do. While you were playing house with this lil’ trick, I was suffering a miscarriage and had to go through it alone.” I ain’t gon’ lie and say that her information didn’t fuck me up a lil’ bit but then I remembered I never hit her raw.

“Aye, go ahead with that shit. You know I never hit you raw. Don’t make me be that nigga, P. I’m trying not to go there with you,” I warned.

“But you did. The night you stayed over at my house. We didn’t use a condom all three times. You asked me to have your baby, and you got me pregnant. I did, and I lost it, because you stressed me out by flaunting this girl around in my face!” she yelled.

“Aye, bring that shit down,” I snapped.

“Leave me out of this,” Daizha voiced. Her voice got my attention. I forgot that fast that she was beside me. I tuned everything out after Paris said she was pregnant.

“Look, P. You stressed yourself out by making shit out to be more than it was. I’m sorry you had to go through that shit, but I’m wit’ Daizha and I love her.”

“You’re sorry I went through this? You love her? Are you serious right now, Demetric? I gave you a whole year and a half and you never told me that you loved me. Yet, you meet this bitch and in less than six months you love her? That’s what you’re telling me?” she continued.

I wasn’t about to sit here and listen to her act a damn fool. If she just said I never told her that I loved her, I don’t understand why she was in here acting a damn fool now. She caught the attention of the guard, and he escorted her out the door. I was glad the store was fairly empty. Once she was gone, I turned to Daizha.

“I didn’t know she was pregnant and if she was for real, it was before you. I never touched that girl or anybody else once I touched you,” I admitted honestly.

“Did you sleep with her while I was staying with you?” I hated she asked that question because I didn’t want to lie to her.

“Yeah. The night after the club. That was one of the reasons I was glad you backed down from the kiss first. I didn’t want to take you down after being with her.” She got quiet and continued looking at the different array of underwear displayed on the table.

“Baby, you can’t be mad about that.”

She looked up at me. “I’m not. I was just processing things. You said you had enough respect not to have sex with me knowing you were with her, even though we were not together. I had a whole boyfriend who would come home smelling like another bitch and have sex with me. The shit was so disgusting. I appreciate your honesty, but if you ever decide to cheat on me…just tell me and I’ll leave. I refuse to go through that shit again.” I was hot that she compared me to that nigga, but I got where she was coming from, and I respected it. I pulled her into my arms and wrapped my arms around her waist, and rested my hands on her plump ass before kissing her neck.

“You don’t ever have to worry about me doing no fuck shit like that. Zeus taught me to take care of and be faithful to my woman. Hence the reason I never had one. I never claimed anyone before you, and if I could help it, there’d be nobody after you. Aight?”

“I believe you,” she simpered.

“Good. Now, let’s get the shit in your hand and this.” I grabbed a long-sleeved sheer bodysuit in brown that I knew would look good against her skin.

We hit a few more stores before I took her out to eat and headed back home. On the way, Zeus called.

“Wassup, Pops?” I answered. Calling him Pops definitely hit different now.

“Hey, son. Where you at?” he asked. I heard the concern in his voice and that had me on full alert.

“Wassup? Something wrong?” I asked.

“Yeah…uh. It’s Juanita,” he said. “She’s gone, son.” I heard what he said, but I couldn’t form the words. This shit couldn’t be happening to me again. I was just getting used to the idea of having her around again and she leaves me again.

“Meech?” I heard him call my name.

“I’m here.”

“You good? Are you by yourself?” he asked.
