Sofie Leonard first appeared on the art scene as a child nearly a decade ago. Now painting under the married name Leonard, she first made a name for herself by successfully submitting three of her own original works to the auction house Christie's where all three were verified as being lost masterpieces by Cezan, van Gogh, and da Vinci himself. It was only when the artist herself encouraged the auctioneers to use a new fluorescing test on the back of the canvas that her signature and a note describing why she worked so hard to learn to emulate the masters was discovered. During her hiatus from the art world, Sofie worked as a restorationist and is currently working with the Malik Beaumont security group to help museums and private collectors not only strengthen their security but assess all current inventory.
