It was all so mixed up now. He tilted his chin, and the way he looked down on me was like a king planning my execution.

“It’s okay,” he said, his soothing voice swam over us like a gentle cloud. “Both of you, just keep going.”

Kai dipped his head, hiding his face as he ground into me. All I had was the faint feeling of his shock through the new bond, and the panic in my heart.

Sin rested his head on my shoulder, his bright white hair tickling my cheek. But he wasn’t inside me. He wasn’t the one I had bitten.
