“Well, at least some of us are wearing clothing,” I mumble under my breathe.

He looks up and frowns, then takes the cigarette out of his mouth and places it in an ashtray on the island. “Children and spineless fools mumble. Which one are you?”

“I said you should put on your clothes,” I shout at him.

An evil smile slowly spread over his face. “Is my chest bothering you, Ms. Woods?”

I hold in my laugh as I think of something.

“What?” he asks

“Nothing. Besides, if I say it, you will fire me.” I bite my lip, trying to hold it all in.

“Say it. I won’t fire you.”

“This could be classified as sexual harassment. You’re standing here shirtless.”

His dark chuckle surrounds me. “Ms. Woods, if I were to come at you with the intent of sex. You would never call it harassment. All you would say is thank you.”

I can’t blink. I should blink, but the thought of Rhet fucking me on this counter appears in my head. I have to snap out of this. I kick my foot against the marble counter.

The thud echoes in my ears and from the looks of it, Rhet hears it too. The pain shoots through my toes and up my leg. I reach down to rub my legs quickly.

“Talk. What do I have today?” He opens the fridge and begins to take out bowls.

“Um, Senator Barrett sent an email saying he’s in town.”

The lines around Rhet’s mouth tighten when hears the Senator’s name. “I will contact him.”

“Joe Mackey’s secretary sent an email, asking about the waft bids. Oh, Julian sent me an email. It says,It’s the owner of Nereus Shipping who is with Barrett,” I state. When I received the email, I made a special note to myself about the Lakeshore-Waterfront bids.

He nods as he sips his coffee. “Hmm, you got the right coffee and look its 5:30am. See what happens when you think like a winner. You can become like me yet.”

I tap my chin. “You know, I think self-praise is a form of mental masturbation. You only think you’re good at something because you said so.”

He chuckles and passes the paper to me and points. “No Forbes did. It’s not mental masturbation it’s more like a really great hand job. Forbes did that for me. Let me change, you can tell me the rest in the car.”

She’s near perfect. Within one day she has put together everything Julian didn’t get to do before he left.

There’s a huge difference between Julian and Zeeta. I’ve never wanted to fuck Julian. When I walked into my kitchen this morning, I stopped for a moment just to look at her.

She looked breathtaking. She left her hair down today. The way her hair frames her face, made me look at her features. I like her huge eyes and plump red lips. Eyes I want to look up at me while her lips wrap around my cock.

“Fuck,” I murmur from the back seat, dragging my hand down my face.

“Are you okay?” she asks, looking up into the rearview mirror as she drives.

“Keep your eyes on the damn road,” I grumble.

I’m on the way to give Senator Barrett a surprise visit. It disgusts me to my very core that I have to set foot into Barrett’s office. He knows I want to win the Waterfront bid. In fact, I even made a small down payment into his account to assure my win. I didn’t have to; I could have shot him and asked the new Senator who would take his place. But he is part of the Quarter Masters. For my father, which is really for my mothers’ peace…I will try to be diplomatic. I’m doing this to fulfill Trent’s dream, I can see it through.

I need to remind the Senator exactly who he’s dealing with.

My phone vibrates and the nameJoe Mackeyappears. I hate Joe Mackey. He stands for everything I disgust in the underworld. Human trafficking and stealing. I know he’s taking part in the upcoming bids. However, when I asked him, he said he wasn’t.

I needed solid proof, and then I will be taking him down.
