“And I will be out of your life forever in two.” She walks over to my desk, picks up the office phone, and holds it out to me, calling my bluff.

“Do it.” She pushes the phone to my face.

“I want you even more now. Shit, you’re giving me the worst Indigo dick.”

I smile. She rolls her eyes and puts the phone down. As the phone rings. I press the intercom button.

“Yeah.”

“Mr. Banner, there’s a Mr. Draven here to see you.”

Zeeta frowns. I chuckle darkly. “Send him in.”

I hang up. “Come here and stand beside me.”

She frowns. “No.”

“Don’t mess with me, Z,” I sneer.

She inhales and walks around my desk. “I’m walking to you because I chose to.”

The two doors open and in walks the bastard of the year, Draven.

ZEETA

Everything about him says bad boy. The way his dirty blond hair is slicked back from his face. The black and charcoal suit looks like it was painted on his body. If I had a daughter, I would send her to her room right now. Unlike Rhet, he doesn’t have an approachable demeanor. Then again, Rhet only looks approachable to me. This guy is about six two, he has a tattoo over his eyebrow. As he comes closer, I can see the ink littering his neck. I scan him and it’s clear from his plump pink bottom lip to his dark gray eyes. This little boy is trouble.

“See what happens when you take a fucking bath. You look respectable,” Rhet says and gestures for the guy to sit.

“I prefer to stand,” The young man says. Well, I like him already, but this won’t fly with Rhet.

“Well, it’s a good thing I don’t give a fuck about your preferences. Sit the fuck down or get out.” Rhet leans back into the chair.

The young man rocks his jaw, he looks at the chair, touching the arm with his finger. I can tell, he’s trying to decide what to do.

Rhet remains quiet, his palms together as each index finger touches his lip. The young man unbuttons his jacket and sits.

“See that wasn’t too hard, was it?” Rhet chuckles.

He just looks at Rhet, then he shifts his eyes to me. “Who is she?”

Oh, his voice is heavy and guttural. I feel sorry for the girls he comes in contact with. They don’t stand a chance with him.

“Mine. That’s who she is, focus on me.” Rhet draws his attention back to him. “So you decided to listen to daddy, Draven?” he asks.

“So, you remembered my name. I knew I made an impression.” He smirks arrogantly.

“No, the receptionist told me. I forgot you actually,” Rhet replies.

“Forgot me? You didn’t forget me, I’m your baby brother,” Draven teases.

“Like jizz in an used condom, I flush you out of my mind. Now why are you here?” Rhet’s face remains unfazed.

“Seriously, you know why I’m here, old man.” Draven fidgets in his seat.

Rhet remains silent, waiting for him to give a response that’s worth his time.

Draven sighs. “I don’t need this bullshit.”
