“Where’s Dad?”

There was silence.“I’m not sure.He was handling club business. That is all I know. Why?”

“He’s not answering.I’ll call you back.”He hung up before she said anything.

Holding the file within his hand, he spun around and headed out of Luke’s home.He had to try and find his father.

Once inside the car, he started to call for him again.

“Damn it, Dad, fucking pick up.”For some reason, he had a feeling Luke was in the hands of his father.

Lash looked down athis cell phone. There were several missed calls from Anthony, as well as one from his wife.He snapped his phone closed and turned back to the man currently tied to a chair. There was blood coming from his mouth.

His patience was running out but Luke seemed to be handling himself a lot better than he gave him credit for.

Dragging a chair over to him, he straddled it.“You’re going to tell me what I need to know.”

“I need to talk to Anthony,” Luke said.

“Do you think I’m going to allow you to continue putting my son in harm’s way?”

Luke laughed.

He hadn’t fully tortured the man, but he had given him a taste of what was to come.Going through the Monster Dogs MC clubhouse had been a complete and total bust.It was empty. No sign of missing women or girls.

Whizz and Nash had helped him torch the place. It was the best thing he’d done since having to deal with their enemy club.

Monster Dogs MC hadn’t even registered on the Skulls’ radar until their kids went to the same school. That had started the problem. He should have ended them years ago, and that was his regret.Anthony shouldn’t have had to make the decision in the first fucking place.

His anger started to build.

“I am not the one who put Anthony in danger,” Luke said.“Your son is perfectly capable of doing that on his own.I made a deal with him and he is the only one I am willing to talk to.”

His cell phone went off.Only, this time, when one call went off, another came in.Glancing at his cell phone, he saw that his son had called him, and started to work his way down the tree.Adam, Tiny, Murphy, Tate, Angel, Nash, Zero, Alex, Hardy, had all tried to call him.He couldn’t ignore it anymore.

Gritting his teeth, he left the abandoned basement and made his way up to the main storage. There was a time the club used this place to store drugs and guns they moved for Ned Walker. They did have other plans for the property, but nothing concrete. The space wasn’t costing them anything.

He pulled out his cell phone and answered the next call that came in.It was his son.

“What?”he asked.

“You have Luke,” Anthony said.

“Look, son, I don’t know what game you’re playing—”

“For fuck’s sake, Dad, he knows, okay?He knows his club dealt with women and children. He has a file here.Where are you?”he asked.

Lash was not going to let Luke go just yet.

“Meet me at the clubhouse, I’ll be there.”

He looked toward the door he had just vacated. No one else knew he had found Luke, or that he’d chained him up.He was not on death’s door, not yet. There was going to be plenty of time to send him there.

Lash made his way back to his bike, climbed on, and took off, heading back to town, and riding through Fort Wills.Several people stopped to watch him.Over the years the club had gone in and out of favor with the locals. In recent years, they were in favor, because they supported the locals as well as businesses and everything in between. The club no longer brought war to the streets. They helped keep it safe.

Arriving back at the clubhouse, he saw his brother was outside, shining up his bike.“Your son’s in your office,” Nash said.“You want to tell me what is going on?”
