Her hand met mine, and we wrapped it around my dick together. Sliding up and down, Maggie grinned and licked her lips. “I can take care. Of that.” She went to move and slid off my legs but no fucking way. I wanted her breasts pressed against me and her hot breath skimming my heated flesh.
“Another time,” I grunted it out, pushed against my hand and together we jerked my dick until I pulsed, pressed my forehead to hers and we both watched as I came, shooting my seed all over my stomach, our hands.
“Ew.” Maggie laughed and wiped her hand off on my stomach and climbed off my lap. I was too worn out to care about keeping her close. “I’ll get you a towel.”
“Kiss me first.”
She pressed her lips to mine, eyes open and hazy from her orgasm, and lit with happiness.
A look I wanted to make sure I put on her gorgeous, innocent and trusting and independent, and breathtakingly beautiful face every damn day for the rest of my life.
My dad was right.
I loved her.
Had no idea how it happened so damn fast, but there it was.
Now I had to find the time and a way to tell her so she wouldn’t doubt for a minute I meant it.
My hand and stomach covered with my cum in my living room, not the best place.
“You distracted me earlier,” Maggie said, coming into the kitchen. We’d both cleaned up, and now we were back in the kitchen where I was pulling out lunch meat and fixings to make sandwiches. I had two chicken breasts for me in the air fryer along with some orzo and quinoa boiling on the stove.
“I think you distracted me with how sexy and brave you were with my sister.”
It wasn’t only what she said, either. It was how adamantly she told Annie she didn’t have to hate her. Simple as that. Taking what I’d told her only a few hours earlier and proving she’d not only listened to me but was on the same page.
“Who distracted who argument aside, I was coming to tell you that Mrs. Clancey called, and they’re on their way. Driving. Said they’ll be here tonight.”
And the reality of our horrible morning returned in a snap of a moment.
“That’s good. How are you doing?”
The front door opened and my dad walked in, armed with two shopping bags from local tourist shops.
“What are you doing?” I asked, chuckling. They’ve been to Nashville several times since I was drafted and rarely left without more souvenirs. “How many times have I told you that you need to stop wasting your money on that crap.”
“Well I don’t think this is crap.” Dad dug into one of the bags and pulled out a pink onesie. The words Nashville Steel’s biggest fan written in white across what would probably take up Reese’s entire tummy. “I think this was needed.”
He had me there. “You’re right. I’m wrong. Blah-blah-blah.”
Next to me, Maggie hid her giggle behind her hand.
“So what’d I miss?” Dad asked and dropped his bags onto the kitchen table. “Any more earth-shattering dramas happen?”
“Annie was pissed,” I admitted and shoved my thumb in Maggie’s direction. “Maggie calmed her down, and I think Annie now secretly loves her.”
Maggie snorted. “Doubtful.”
“Eh. Not many people can put Annie in her place as easily as you did.”
“Annie’s a tough nut to crack,” Dad said to Maggie. “If she didn’t throw anything at you through the screen, Davis here is probably right.”
“I’ll take that into consideration. And to answer your question, Mrs. Clancey called. Said they were on their way and will be here tonight.” She turned to me. “Where’s everyone going to sleep? I mean, I can’t let them come and then not give them space, and with your dad here, I guess Ruth and I can sleep on the couches? There’s plenty of room—”
“Nope.” Dad was already shaking his head. “Don’t worry about me at all. I’m headed to a hotel. Gotta catch an early flight anyway, but I am pretty sure your mom is heading down soon to take care of all these new girls of hers, so be warned about that. But don’t you worry about me. You need the space, and I need to be awake around five for the airport. Hotel next to it I’ll be easier for me, anyway.”
“Seems we’ve got it worked out, then.” I gave the orzo and quinoa a quick stir.
