“Ugh. Okay.” I stumbled out of bed and made my way into the bathroom. I did my business and washed my face and brushed my teeth. There was no sign of Natalie’s slap, but I felt it. I’d never been slapped before. Cross that off my bucket list.
I giggled.
“Rayn Drop.” Kyler called from the other room.
“Coming Daddy.” I tamed my hair into two buns on the side of my head.
I walked back into the bedroom and stopped at the door.
Kyler wasn’t near the bed. He was in the little alcove near the floor to ceiling window. He’d set up a blanket among the mountain of pillows. A plate of pancakes with the design of a smiley face with a ninja mask in chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
“How cool.” I plopped down on the floor. Kyler handed me the mug of mocha flavored coffee with more whipped cream piled in a spiral half the size of the cup. I took a sip. Whipped cream covered my nose. “Yummy.”
Kyler chuckled.
“Do I have something on my face?” I grinned.
“Yep.” He leaned in and licked it off. “Yummy.”
Kyler cut a piece of pancake and fed me. I chewed and looked out the window at the people below.
“People don’t slow down here.” I watched a man shuffled his feet across the grounds into Quad I. “How many people are in the hotel at this moment?”
“I’m not sure.” He fed me another piece of pancake. “You figure there are 1,420 rooms in the total complex. Average two people in each room. Another five thousand people in and out of the casinos every day.
“Almost two thousand.” I whistled. “That’s a lot of people.”
He feeds more pancakes. “Aren’t you hungry, Daddy?”
“I already ate, baby.” I nodded.
I took another sip of my chocolate coffee and sat it down. I leaned back on the pillows, then switched around and laid my head on Kyler’s lap.
“Comfy?” He asked.
I shook my head and giggled. I rested my feet on the table and hummed while Kyler finished feeding me.
“You want more?”
“No.” I sat up and finished my drink. “Thank you, Daddy. It was so good.”
“I’m glad you liked it.” He wiped my mouth and my fingers with a wet wipe he fished off the tray. “I made it myself.”
I gasped and shot up. “You cooked? I thought the stove was just for show.”
“Yes, little girl.” He tugged on one of my buns.
“I think we should eat breakfast like this every day for every” The child like tenor to my voice surprised me. I placed my head back in his lap.
“Every day, huh?” Kyler stared down at me. He caressed my cheek.
“Yep.” I stared at the blue sky. I didn’t want to ask but figured I should. I was enjoying little space, but knew we had to take care of Natalie today. “What are we going to do today?”
“How about we take a shower?” Kyler ran his fingers over my skin. It tickled. I tried not to squirm.
“Then while I have a meeting, you can stay in bed and watch a movie or go in my office and read.” He rested his hand on my cheek. “Whatever you’d like?”
“Don’t I need to go to your meeting?”
