The waiter poured me a cup of tea. “Sugar?”

“Yes, please.” He dropped a cube of sugar and held up the creamer.

“Milk?”

I nodded. I picked up the little spoon and stared at my tea. My eyes grew big when every dessert on the cart was placed before me.

“Oh, goodness.” I dropped the spoon and looked up at Kyler. “I can’t possibly finish all of this. Maybe half.”

I looked around the room. Every table had the same arrangement. I rubbed my tummy. Cries of delight and applause broke out in the room. Some littles didn’t wait to show their appreciation, they dug in much to the chagrin on their Daddies and Mommies faces. Two littles were pulled over their Daddy's knee and spanked loudly and soundly in front of everyone. My stomach dropped.

Kyler took my hand. I looked up at him. “You may have a bite of each and then pick your favorite to finish.” He squeezed my hand. “Enjoy each bite, little one.”

I looked back at the desserts. “Which is your favorite?”

“Oh, I don’t know.” He shrugged. “I’m partial to the chocolate and peanut butter cake. But they are all amazing.” He pointed to a chocolate sphere with a hole in the top where a peanut butter mousse had squeezed out the top.

I cracked the chocolate with my spoon and revealed the cake and mouse inside. I giggled, scooped up a big spoon full and took a bite. It was rich and smooth. I groaned and leaned back. It was delicious. I eyed the other deserts. Two pies, a decadent chocolate, and raspberry dessert, and a cheesecake with green and blue swirls finished out the sweet treats. I tasted them all before pushing the chocolate and peanut butter toward Kyler.

“For you, Daddy.”

He grinned and leaned in to kiss my lips. Chocolate and peanut butter lingered on his tongue. It was my favorite, too, but I wanted to make Kyler happy. I picked the cheesecake and Kyler, and I ate our dessert in silence.

My attention was pulled from one table to another. You could tell who the good little girls and boys were and who were the brats. About sixty people in all. Near the front side table, a group of littles all sat together. They had extra attendants standing by the wall behind them.

Kyler leaned over. “Those are littles who don’t have caregivers but still come to the monthly events to play.”

“Where are the Daddies and Mommies with no littles?” I frowned. “Can you just put those two tables together and then everyone will have someone?”

“For some people, age play is just that. It’s play, but not part of their everyday life.” Kyler put his hand on his knee and squeezed.

I turned back to the table of littles. They giggled and squirmed in their seats. The attendants were attentive, taking one by the hand and walked them out of the room. Another refereed a fight between two littles who went after the same desert.

“Some people just come here for a release.” Kyler whispered. “A way to let go for a little while, because their everyday life doesn’t offer them that opportunity.”

I had wanted a forever Daddy for so long and now that I had him, I was going to have to say goodbye.

He kissed the side of my head, and it brought tears to my eyes. I didn’t want to ruin the night, but I had to talk to Kyler. Let him know our time was coming to an end.

I stiffened and turned to face him.

“Hey sweetie. Why the sad face?” He cupped my check. “Don’t worry. Everyone is here tonight because they want to be. Look at how happy they are.”

“I have to talk to you, but I don’t want to ruin this night more than I already have.” Maybe I wasn’t the good girl I thought I was.

“Rayna, what’s wrong?” He pushed a stray hair behind my ear. “You haven’t ruined anything.”

I blinked back tears.

“Please, Daddy.” I pulled his hand down and into my lap. “I want to enjoy tonight, but then we have to talk.”

Kyler’s eyes blinked as he searched my face for answers, but then the confusion dissipated like a puff of smoke. He smiled at me, leaned in and kissed me, and nodded.

“Finish your cheesecake.” He pointed to my plate. “The entertainment is about to begin.”

His plate had one more bite. He gathered it in his fork and then fed it to me. I savored the taste on my tongue until it disappeared. Kyler leaned in and licked my bottom lip and deepened the kiss, savoring me.

“Yummy.” He whispered against my lips as the lights blinked. To my right, near the littles table, a stage lit up. Littles took off toward the front of the stage as a band of four played. Dancers came out in ornate costumes and moved across the stage like they were on ice. Others swung from the rafters.
