“Y’all still at the spot?” he asked.

“Hell yeah. Stacks over this bitch whining, so it’s taking longer than expected.” I joked while Kilo laughed.

“Fuck y’all,” Stacks shot back. “If I wasn’t a lil’ scared of Mel’s crazy ass, I’d report yo’ ass.” He pointed at me. “And you better be glad I like Nic and don’t want her crying over yo’ stupid ass.” I laughed because this nigga was hot.

“Damn, I ain’t do shit and yo’ crybaby ass throwing strays.” I laughed while he waved me off.

“Y’all stupid, but check it. I had a visit from Logic, and they’ll be in touch soon with the plans. I already signed the agreement, and it’s a sweet deal.”

“What’s the split?” Niggas never did shit without tryna tax you.

“Sixty-five, thirty-five. Our way,” he informed, and I nodded.

“Bet. That’ll definitely work.” Stacks agreed.

We chopped it up a little longer before we had to head to D.E. for this dumb ass meeting. After Kilo let us know he’d try to call in, we left the warehouse with Stacks on his bike, and I jumped in my truck. I called Goldie on my way so that I could check on her. When she answered the phone, she was sitting on the couch eating a jar of those pineapples that I had to order by the box.

“You ain’t tired of eating them shits yet?” I smirked.

“Nope. I’m almost out too,” she said between bites.

“Man, I know you lying. I brought you ten cases, Goldie. Ain’t no way you ate all that shit already?”

She shrugged. “It’s only three in a case.” She continued to eat like it was nothing to what she just said.

“I hope you’re feeding my boy something besides pineapples.” I smirked. “I just called to check on you, though. I got this meeting I’m about to head into, but I’ll be accessible. Aight?”

“Okay.”

I hung up with Goldie and made my way to the conference room with Stacks in tow. He pulled up the same time that I did and was on his bike, more than likely on the phone with Kash. When we got to the room, our pops was sitting down, having a conversation of his own.

“Baby, let me go. Those two knuckleheads you call sons just walked in.” I frowned when I heard him tell my mama to be ready for him when he got home. That shit literally made my stomach turn.

“It’s good to see you both on time,” he stated with a smirk. “Buck, what’s wrong with your face?”

“Don’t nobody wanna hear you telling my mama to be ready for you? Ready for what?” I frowned.

“Whatever it is has nothing to do with you. Just know that my wife is ready and waiting for me, just like Nic is ready and waiting for you.” He smirked.

“Man, watch out.” Stacks laughed like he wasn’t just crying earlier.

“You need to shut the fuck up.” I pointed. “Don’t let me start on your whining ass.” That caused him to stick his finger up at me. Before I could curse his ass out again, Rachel was knocking on the door, telling us our visitors have arrived.

After telling her to send them in, we cut out all the jokes and got serious. I watched as Maseo’s brothers, Manuel, and Lorenzo, walked in with Maseo’s son, Emilio. They greeted us before taking a seat. I kept my eyes on that nigga Emilio because he looked as if he had some shit he needed to get off his chest.

“Good afternoon, gentleman,” Lorenzo greeted. “I hate we had to meet under these circumstances.”

“Yet, you still brought your ass here,” I snapped.

“Buck,” my pops called my name but ignored his ass.

“Like I was saying,” Lorenzo started. “We came here today to see if the offer you gave my brother was still on the table? We still have a business to run despite his demise and unfortunately, said business can’t operate with the help of DeLuca Enterprises.”

“Wasn’t shit unfortunate about it. That muthafucka thought he could tell us how to run our shit and in return, I showed him who, in fact, ran this shit. So, if DeLuca Enterprises continues to do business with the Alvarez family, it’ll be at the same rate that was offered to your brother. It’s your choice whether you take it or not.”

“And if we don’t,” his bitch ass son interjected.

“Then you’ll be meeting that nigga at the crossroads.” The look on my face let him know not to fuck with me.
