Olivia waved and backed away to talk to someone else.
“What’s up?” Noah asked.
“How was Russia?”
Noah grimaced. “No work talk here. It was Russia. That’s all I can say.”
“I get it. But it’s good to see your face again. After I finish this tour, let’s grab a drink and catch up. I swear I’ll leave work out of it.”
Noah smiled. “I’ll let you talk about work if you tell me about New York.”
Gage flipped him off. “Enough about New York. I’ll catch you soon. I’m about to give a vanilla a tour of the place.”
Noah flashed a wicked grin. “Want me to scare her?”
Gage laughed. “Best not. She’s my new contact for a public education program I’m trying to get off the ground, and Darci recommended her.”
Noah shrugged. “Fair enough. Tell me if you change your mind.”
The main doors to the dungeon opened, and both men looked that way.
To Noah’s surprise and horror—and perhaps excitement—Reva entered. She wore a black mini skirt and bright blue top that showed off her cleavage.
“I’m pretty sure that’s her.”
It clicked. Of course, it was her. Darci’s high praise, that she was one of Gage’s new contacts. It made sense now. His public education efforts would go through the ACSL. They had the most resources.
She might perceive his presence as some kind of setup.
He turned on the barstool and hoped she didn’t see him.
“Let me know how it goes,” he muttered into his drink.
Gage slapped him on the back and headed for the pretty girl.
Her smile lit up the room as she greeted Gage, and a pang of jealousy wound through him because he hadn’t put it on her face. Gage waved around the room before pointing to the door that led to a hallway filled with other interesting things.
Something made her eyes brighten with excitement, and she followed Gage into the hall.
What excited her? The rope room, perhaps? Or maybe medical play intrigued her. Something told him that Gage had been misinformed about her being vanilla.
Then it dawned on him. The library. That’s what would excite her most.
He considered slipping out before she could see him. But if she was going to be working with Gage and Darci, his membership here might come out anyway. So, he stayed where he was and nursed his drink until they came back into the main play space.
After Gage gave her a quick tour, he led her to the bar and motioned to one of the small tables nearby.
“What’ll you have?” Gage asked.
“Just a glass of white wine, please.”
Gage came to the bar and ordered.
While he waited on the bartender to pour the drink, Noah slipped off his barstool and moved to Reva’s table.
“This is quite the surprise.”
Her face paled, and she stood.
