“You should’ve left it behind. It’s okay. I’ll take it with me when I go back home, so no one else can track you. I left my phone at home to be safe, too. I knew you probably didn’t want to be found. I knew you would’ve told me where you were going if you did.”
He knows me so well.
I sigh and lean into his touch. “I missed you,” I confess and he smirks.
“Well, you could’ve brought me with you.”
“And give your father more reasons to be suspicious? I would’ve brought you if I could.”
“So, where exactly are we?” he presses, his eyes full of compassion.
“The middle of nowhere Montana. It’s Judy’s aunt’s property. Vera is nice even if a bit prickly and she let me and Ollie use this cabin.”
He smirks and nods before pulling me into his arms for a reassuring hug.
I lean my head against his chest as a warm and fuzzy feeling fills my chest. “You’re not mad?”
“No, not at all. I could never be mad at you for prioritizing your safety and I already knew you would do anything to protect your baby. I’m just glad you’re okay, little rabbit.”
A loud breath leaves my lips before I hear movement behind me.
“Who was it?” Ollie yells from the bedroom and Martin chuckles.
“It seems I woke the sleeping beast,” he jokes.
I laugh before rolling my eyes. “It’s Martin and it’s fine!” He turns my head and steals a strong kiss, a kiss so intense that my toes curl against the hardwood floors.
Martin trails kisses down my neck and nuzzles my shoulder as I relax against him.
“Am I interrupting something?”
I snap my head around as Ollie enters the living room, his eyes heavy with sleep.
“Hey, cousin. Did I disturb your beauty sleep?” Martin jokes, but instead of slapping Martin for waking us up, Ollie pulls him into a hug and my eyes widen.
Ollie isn’t a physically affectionate person, except with me. However, Martin and Ollie have a special kind of relationship.
“Good to see you, man,” Ollie mutters.
“Aww, cuz. Did you miss me? I’m touched.”
“Shut up before I kick your ass.”
Butterflies swarm my whole body at having both of them here. It feels like all the broken pieces of my heart have reunited and everything is perfect.
“Now, can we go back to bed? I have work in the morning and I’m fucking exhausted.” Ollie practically whines and I can’t help laughing.
I take Martin’s hand and tug him behind me as I follow Ollie back to the bedroom.
Once we got here, Ollie and I had a long conversation about his opinion about the complexity of my feelings for both of them. However, Ollie was very understanding. He told me how open-minded he is and how as long as he is confident in his place beside me, he doesn’t care how many other men I also want to add to the equation. Plus, he actually likes Martin and knows he would never do anything to hurt me.
In other words, he is completely fine if I want to keep both of them.
Martin and I had the same conversation when he was recovering from the beating he took in my hotel room.
So, we’re all on the same page.
We go to the bedroom and Oliver climbs into his side of the bed. I get in the middle and Ollie quickly wraps his arm around my waist as Martin disrobes down to his boxers before getting into bed.
