Then I do the thing that I’ve thought of doing since I kissed her. I gather what’s left of her delicious taste on my tongue and spit into her mouth. Her eyes widen even more before my mouth is on her again.
“Swallow,” I mumble against her lips, and I feel her do just that.
“Un tesoro del cazzo.”
We make quick work of fixing both of our appearances. The tension in the bathroom is surprisingly calmer than I figured it would be after what just happened.
“Antonio…” She starts looking rather apprehensive.
“If you say anything other than thank you, I will fuck you on this counter,” I say, adjusting myself behind my pants.
She visibly bites her tongue while a blush creeps onto her cheeks.
“That’s what I thought. I’ll head out first just in case anyone’s out there,” I say, and she nods. I can’t help but lean down and steal another kiss from her already slightly swollen lips.
I unlock the door and give the area outside a once over before stepping out and gesturing for Theá to do the same. As she steps out and we round the corner, Kylian is there, leaning against the wall.
His eyes meet mine and then move to Theá’s.
Cazzo. It’s easy to put one and one together and get twelve right now, but I stand my ground and wrap my arm around Theá’s shoulder, pretending that was the most innocent exchange we could’ve ever had.
“I was just coming to check on you two, You’ve been gone for a while.” He raises a brow, crossing his arms over his chest.
I run through a list of lies in my head, shove my exposed hand in my pocket. I open my mouth to speak, except the voice I hear isn’t mine, it’s Theá’s.
“Sorry, I think it’s something I ate. Antonio was just helping me,” she all but grumbles, playing into her food poisoning story.
“Are you okay?” His eyes go from accusing to worrying in an instant. No matter how much he wants to pretend to be the next best underboss, the man in front of me is still a little boy who cares for his older sister.
“Yeah, I’m okay, but I think we should head home. Is that okay?” Her hand on my chest causes my heart to thump in response as I realise she’s asking me and not him.
“Of course, let’s get your bag.” I gesture for her to walk first.
As we approach the table, it’s clear to see we haven’t been missed by anyone other than Kylian. Even Enzo seems to have disappeared.
Gabriel’s eyes flash up to us as Theá grabs her bag and hugs her brother goodbye. I head around the table and stop once I’m between Gabriel and Lucien. “Sorry for my sudden departure, gentlemen. My wife isn’t feeling well, so we’re going to head home.”
I expect Gabriel to rise to his feet and check on his daughter, but instead, he frowns. “You could have the driver take her home and stay for a few more drinks.”
I grit my teeth because even if this is what I married Theá for, the fact that he would let anyone treat his daughter like that is disgusting. “I could, but I won’t.My wife’shealth is my main concern at the moment.” I extend a hand to Lucien. “Look forward to seeing you soon. I’ll have them send over your invites for the CFP dinner,” I add the last part just to lessen the blow, even though I know my brothers are going to kill me for this.
“A real pleasure, Antonio. Looking forward to seeing you very soon,” Lucien says.
I bid the rest of the men goodbye and return to Theá, who seems to be having a glaring match with her brother.
“Let’s go,” I interrupt.
“Message me when you’re home,” Kylian says, and I nod, gesturing for her to leave.
“Did he say something to you?”
“Nothing I couldn’t handle,” she says as the driver pulls up in front of us.
We slip into the back seat, and as soon as the door closes, it’s like the heat in the back of the car suddenly turns up.
“You were in quite a hurry to get out of there,” I say lowly, making note that the partition between the driver and us is still open.
“I was saving us from another two hours of small talk.” She shrugs, but turns to face me.
