CHAPTER 11

I stood frozen as the video played for a third time.

As I watched, Scarlett's finger pressed the heart icon.

"Did you just love that video?" I accused.

"Yep," she said.

Then her finger hit the save button. And was she…no, she wouldn't.

"Saved and shared it too." Scarlett smiled up at my shocked expression. "Oops."

I pinched her arm, making her yelp. "I can't even…you're terrible. You know that, right?"

"Hey, it's a kissing video," she said, laughing while she rubbedher arm. "You know I love those.Plus, I'm supporting my sister."

"Thanks," I grumbled under my breath.

"Besides, be real, Lotte. If youhad social media, you would've loved it too."

I swallowed my retort because it was true.

As I watched Bo lean down to onscreen me again, Iadmitted it if only to myself. Iwould've watched the heck out of that video.I probably would've broken the replay button. In fact, I might needto reconsider my stance on social media and create an account to do just that.

My sister and I sighed in unison.

"You're thinking about making an account aren't you?" Scarlett said.

"Yeah, right," I replied.

"You totally were."

"This is actually one of the reasonsI hate social media," I mumbled. "No one needs permission. They just post stuff about people."

"Including awesome first kisses," my sister added. "At least, theycouldn'ttag you. But…"

I saw it the same time as she did.

"Ugh, they tagged the library?" I said and then groaned. "Seriously? Mrs. Welks isso going to fire me."

"Hmmm, doubtful," Scarlett said. "You're her favorite."

"Yeah, because I'm good at my job. Really good," I said. "I match people up with their favorite books, and ninetimes out of tenthey come back to the library. Not because I'm caught kissing during work hours."

I closed my eyes, took a deep fortifying breath, and shook it off, the fear of being sacked, the stares of my classmates, my sister's look of concern. It was all placed on the back burner.

There was only one person who could've taken that video.

And I was going to find him.

Right after, I went to Bo's locker to see if he needed help.

"I'll un-share it if you really want me to," Scarlett said.

"Nah, it's alright," I said, waving her words away."I'm sure it's beenshared a few times already."

"Oh yeah, with that many views it had to have been…sorry," she said.
