I swallowed.

"Kent?"

Finally, I regained the ability to form words, but they definitely weren't the ones I intended to say.

"You…I can't believe you stole my first kiss," I said softly.

Bo tensed.

"You're a thief, Bo Stryker."

As he nodded, turned on stiff legsand walked out of the library, Bo seemed like the one who was dazed. Couldn't blame him really.

That kiss...

It was…

My cheeks reddened, and as I closed up the library, turning off the lights and locking the door, I was still thinking about it.How I got to my car without incident was a mystery. But as Istarted the drive home, I racked my brain, running through everything that'd happened.

Leif had been about to reject me...but then Bo stepped in.

He'd kissed me, stolen my first kiss, and yeah, maybe I should've been mad about it.

Possibly I should've been furious.

Bo had given me the best first kiss ever.

And I would always remember that.

Not really 'the kiss'.

ButThe Kiss.

Capitalized, bolded, and italicized.

As I went to the window, I told myself it was just to tidy my desk. I often enjoyed reorganizing my books, sometimes by size, color, or trope. But today, what I really wanted was another glimpse of Bo. Heshowed uplike always, same time, same deep frown. He wore a black tee and jeans.I had to admit. The look was doing wonderful things for him.

Although I'd seen his morning workout a million times, I found myself mesmerized.

By the flex of his muscles…

Was that how his forearms looked when they'd been wrapped around me?

The slight sheen of sweat on his neck…

I'd touched him there.

The roll of his shoulders…
