“Did you seriously just say pussy party?” Aurora’s nostrils flare.

“I didn’t mean it that way,” I try to defend myself, but Aurora is hard to convince when she’s already fired up. “I meant girly.”

She makes a humph sound.

“Like wimpy,” I try again and realize I am only digging a hole for myself. “Ah never mind.” I stand and throw my hands in the air and walk away. “Decorate it in pinks and purples, hang streamers from the ceiling. Hell, have confetti and glitter, and little party hats, I don’t care.”

“Now that’s just stupid,” Aurora hollers after me and I hang my head as I step inside my room and flop down in my chair. There is no winning, why did I even try?

“Just a note.” Luna peeks around the corner and glances back toward the front lobby almost like she is attempting to hide. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen her lately, or all day for that matter. “I don’t want finger foods or fruit,” she whispers. “Can’t you just take over?”

I stare at her like she’s got two heads.

“I just tried, and I almost lost a nut.” Shaking my head I notice her slip inside and tuck herself against the wall. “You’re hiding.” Her eyes widen in surprise. “Ror,” I holler out and Luna tenses up.

“Shh, no stop.” Luna rushes me trying to cover my mouth.

“No, you stop.” I stand and rush from my room, just as Aurora, Jace, and Bree start walking toward me. “Luna is hiding from you in my room. I’m not the bad guy here, she is too afraid to tell you both that she wants beer and pizza not sandwiches and frilly drinks.”

Aurora looks past my shoulders, Bree too and Jace slowly starts to back away.

“I’m out of this.” I hold my hands up in surrender. “You three hash it out, I’m going for a burger.”

As I start toward the front, Jace scurries after me. “Wait up.” He isn’t sticking around for the crazy either.

Stepping outside I take a deep breath and hear him laugh. “Seriously, that shit went insane fast.” I hung out with Aurora prior to her and Jace getting their shit cleared up, and realizing they belonged together. I witnessed many times her in hermoods. They could get wild at times. I feel for the guy, love her, but the woman is a force to be reckoned with when she gets going.

“Where are we going?” he asks seemingly out of breath and it’s then I realize I am walking fast and pretty much in circles.

“Damn.” I stop, placing my hands on my hips, “I don’t know.” I’m hungry, and truly just needed to get away from that shit. Let Oliver and Daxton take over, good luck to them. Actually that could be entertaining since both do whatever it takes to keep their ladies happy and their ladies happen to be on opposite sides of the fence.

“We need to waste time and let that stuff work itself out,” I say, turning around to face him. “I’d say at least an hour, maybe two.”

“You’re hungry?” he reminds me and I nod.

“Yeah.”

“I got the perfect place.” Grabbing his keys out of his pocket he tosses them up with a smile.

“Where?”

“Come on.” He hurries across the street toward his car parked along the curb. “You’ll love it.”

“Should I be scared?” Jace likes these crazy little dives. I remember the last time I let him convince me to try a new place I was sick for four days. I still refuse to eat catfish.

“Nope, Aurora loves this place and the company I think you’ll enjoy too.”

He climbs inside his car, and I join him. When we pull up in front of the busy diner, I look over at him and smile. “Good choice.” I climb out and without waiting for him start toward the front entrance my mouth already watering.

“Order up.” I cover my mouth to hide my yawn and hear Heather laugh at my side.

“Girl, do you sleep at night? Or do you have some hot guy I don’t know about keeping you up at night?”

I roll my eyes and grab the plate placing it on the tray.
