"Kiss me," he requested, and there was no way I was saying no to that.

Jerry

WhenIfirstaskedEshim to shift, I had to admit I was a teensy bit scared. Not of him—I knew he wouldn't hurt me—but of my own feelings for him.

They were already so strong, and I couldn't help wondering if that was okay. Did all mated relationships develop so fast?

I remembered Kat and Fressia's one-night encounter that went from strangers to girlfriends in the span of one evening. Eshim and I had taken longer than that, at least.

I'd also been worried I wouldn't feel comfortable around Eshim in his true form, but that fear went unfounded because Eshim washot.

In his human form, Eshim wore dress pants, well-fitting button-downs, and vests. And while he looked sexy as fuck in a professional sort of way, in his true form with only some cut-off denim shorts? He looked rugged, handsome, and like someone who could easily throw me around and fuck me into the mattress.

Which wasn't something I should have been thinking about while sitting in Eshim's lap because my body was reacting, and judging by the smirk on Eshim's face, he could feel it.

"You like my true form, hmm?" Eshim asked, a teasing lilt to his voice. I almost told him no just because, but then decided against it. Why shouldn't I tell him how much I liked the way he looked? He deserved honesty from me, even about something like this.

"I do. You're good-looking in both forms, but you feel more...real like this. Moreyou," I murmured, and the smirk fell off his face, something like wonder taking its place.

Four arms wrapped around my back and tugged me into his chest until I was surrounded by Eshim, and I smiled into his skin, dragging in a big breath of his smoky, demon scent.

Pressing my lips against his skin, I hummed at its warmth, then leaned back to give it a lick. His skin was salty, and harder than a human's, but smooth. I hummed at the taste, then scraped my teeth over it, wondering if it felt as good for him as it would for me.

"Jerry," Eshim gasped out, and I smiled against his skin as his fingers slid into my hair. Having four hands on me all at once felt amazing because I knew they all belonged to the same wonderful man.

Humming, I bit his neck, but not hard enough to hurt. I didn't think I could, what with how thick his skin was, and how blunt my human teeth were in comparison.

Eshim grunted, and his fingers tightened in my hair. Before I could continue, he tugged my head back, his grip on my hair strong but not painful.

"You should stop, Jerry," he said in a rough voice that was very unlike his usual soft tenor.

"Why?"

"Because if you don't, I can't hold back anymore."

Fuck yes. This was what I'd been pushing for. Eshim had been trying so hard to hold back, to keep himself in check, but that wasn't what I wanted. I wanted him, all of him, no holds barred.

"Then don't," I said, making sure he saw the need in my eyes before I ducked down to continue lavishing his skin with attention. Except his grip tightened in my hair once more, and he tugged my head up, then slammed his mouth onto mine.

Since our first kiss, Eshim had been nothing but sweet and gentlemanly, but I could sense that wasn't all he was. He had a wild side, and I'd finally found it.

I slid my fingers into his hair, holding him close as he kissed me senseless. I'd had some great kisses in my life, but they all paled in comparison. No, that wasn't right. Therewasno comparison. Eshim's kisses were in a league of their own.

One of his hands stayed in my hair, while two gripped my hips, holding me close to him. His fourth hand slid under my T-shirt, moving up and down my back and sending sparks of electricity through my bare skin.

I moaned into his mouth, rocking my hips forward and rubbing my erection against his. The couch creaked ominously, and Eshim pulled back.

I gasped and noticed for the first time that my lungs were burning, and started sucking in some much-needed oxygen. Eshim kissed so well he'd actually made me forget I needed to breathe. Fuck.

"Shit, I'm so sorry!" Eshim said as he rubbed my back soothingly, and I chuckled through my gasps.

"You can kiss me like that anytime," I told him once my lungs were functioning again, and he gave me a sheepish smile.

"I don't think this couch can handle much more. I used magic to make it sturdier, but there's only so much it can do."

"There's gotta be a bed in there, right?" I asked, pointing toward the doorway that led deeper into the house, and Eshim blinked.
