“No,” I whispered.

“Then what?”

I swallowed hard, still torn about telling her everything. “He was in Grimm Cove, but he wasn’t alone.”

“You know I’m going to freak when you tell me the rest, don’t you?” she asked, knowing me well.

I nodded as if she could see me. “Yes.”

“Willa, not telling me is going to cause me to freak out more,” she stated.

Knowing Mina as well as I did, I knew she was right.

With a long, drawn-out sigh, I weighed my options. “Keep in mind, none of this may come to pass.”

“Willa.”

“In the visions, I saw the black wolf in Grimm Cove,” I said.

“And?”

“Helen and Lester were in Grimm Cove with him. So were the Weird Sisters.”

“I’m coming,” she said quickly.

“No. Stay there, please,” I stressed. “The robed men were in the vision too.”

“For crying out loud, Willa, you’re telling me you sawallthat and still ran right for it?” she asked loudly, and I had to wonder if she was drawing a crowd while shouting at me.

“Yes,” I confessed.

“If you die, I’m going to be so pissed,” she snapped.

I couldn’t help but smile as I teared up. “Noted.”

“This isn’t funny,” she shot back.

“I wasn’t laughing.”

She huffed. “But you were smiling. I could hear it in your voice.”

This time, I did laugh.

She growled.

That made me laugh more. “Know that my wolf is laughing at that growl attempt.”

“If I wasn’t so angry with you and now scared shitless for you, I’d find humor in this too,” she offered.

My chest tightened with the knowledge that I was causing her stress. “Sorry.”

“You might be wrong about what you saw,” she said, sounding as if she needed to believe I was mistaken.

I understood she needed to hear me admit as much for her own sanity. “You’re right. I’m sure I am wrong. This will confirm it. We can laugh later about how I freaked out for no reason.”

“Okay,” she whispered, sounding anything but calm.

“Mina, I’m going to hang up and head to Gallows Lane.”
