"We?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

"Her and myself. She's just figuring it out, but it piqued my interest."

"Ah," Katie nodded her head. "Well, magic is very tricky and can appear at different times, and it's different for every person. It can even remain dormant for years."

If that was the case, that would explain why I never felt anything before. But what about the visions?

"You should tell her that she's going to have to just try things out. Once you've used it a few times, you can pinpoint their abilities, but until then…" Katie shook her head. "I can't be of much help."

Which means we had to get it out. I had to figure out what brought it to the surface.

I chewed on my cheek, wishing Katie would have more. This meant it was up to Jay and I to figure things out.

"Well, my food is probably ready." She pointed back to the counter.

"Do you want to join me?" I asked. I really liked Katie, and I wanted to get to know her. "I have some time before I have to be back to work for a meeting."

Katie smiled and I could see it reached her eyes. "Really? You don't mind me joining you?"

I shook my head. "No, I'd love to have the company. I would love to hear more about what you do."

Katie stayed for lunch and told me about her degrees and work. She loved what she did, and you could tell she was passionate about it.

After having lunch, I decided to send Jay a quick message telling him yes to his offer. If this was the way she had to go about getting my magic out, then so be it. Besides, he'd been on my mind so much anyway. Maybe it would stifle the fire inside.

I focused on the meeting after lunch and managed to get quite a bit done by the time I was ready to get home. The drive home was nerve-wracking. Jay never responded to my message, but I could tell he had read it.

I arrived home and found the house quiet. I slid my shoes off and made my way into the kitchen and the dining room. I froze when I noticed that the dining room was set. There were placemats out, and candles were lit. There was a fresh bouquet of flowers in a vase in the center.

The room smelled like roasted chicken and rice. I turned, and Jay stood in the kitchen, setting up two plates.

"Oh, you're home a little early." He placed the plate he was holding down.

I just stared at him, utterly confused. What was all of this? Were we….going to do it? I thought we were.

"What is all this?" I asked as he grabbed the plates, bringing them over to the table.

"I thought we should have dinner. Treat it like a real date."

I was a little surprised by this and noticed his hands were shaking a little as he turned to me. So, he was just as nervous as I was. That was a little bit of a relief.

"Oh, well, that was sweet of you."

He pulled a chair out, and I walked over, taking a seat. He pushed my chair in and then took a seat in his.

"This looks wonderful," I said as I took a bite of the chicken. It was tender and juicy.

"Thanks."

I took in his appearance and noticed he'd shaved. His hair was combed, but it ran in nice half curls. He was even wearing a dress shirt.

We started eating, but my eyes kept watching his hands and how his mouth moved. I squeezed my legs together, feeling my clit throb.

The space felt hot, and I pulled myself up and walked towards him. "How about a dance?" I asked, walking towards his stereo at the table behind him.

I turned back to him and offered my hand out. Jay stared at me for a moment before he pulled himself up. Jay pulled me into his arms and twirled us. He smelled amazing, and it gave me a high.

"You smell good," I chirped, leaning against his chest.
