I get in and tell him, “I’ve had the best idea. You won’t fucking believe it.”

Chapter28

Frankie

“Seriously, Frankie, we can’t fuck this up.” He glances at me as he pulls away from the sidewalk. He looks back, doing a double take. “What the fuck are you wearing? You’re supposed to be going to a fancy restaurant.” His hand grips the steering wheel, which squeaks in protest.

“That’s what I’m trying to tell you.” I sigh and turn around in my seat to face him. “I have a plan and it’s fucking epic.” I clap my hands and bounce in the seat.

“Fucking hell,” he grumbles.

“So … on the way home, I realized everyone will see me if I turn up, start flirting with the guy, then something happens to him.” His eyes shoot sideways, and he glares at me. “Which it won’t,” I add in quickly. “But if it did, I can be identified super-fast as the girl hanging off his every word all night, right?” I know he can see I’m right as he just lifts his head for me to continue.

“I decided to head over to the restaurant and have a look around. Guess what I noticed?”

“Go on?” he questions, eyes stay on the road, but I know I have him curious.

“I see all the staff wear the same, hence why I’m wearing this.” I run my hands down my body and smile wide at him, but still nothing.

“Anyway, I also noticed that all staff enter in the side entrance near the bins, but the CCTV is facing toward the door, so they’ll only see the back of me.” I slap his arm. “Don’t you see, it’s a great plan. I go in as a member of staff and serve him his drink.”

“And when they dust for prints, what you gonna do then?” He raises his brow.

I pull the white gloves from my pocket. “I don’t imagine I’ll do anything, because they won’t find any.” I arch a brow back at him. “All the servers were wearing them. It has to be one of the easiest jobs I’ve done yet.” I smile and sit back in the seat, crossing my arms..

“I wouldn’t get too comfy. Remember, anything can happen, so stay on your toes and keep your phone on,” he commands.

“You got it. You call, I answer.” I smile as I see the restaurant up ahead.

“I’ll drop you here. Go and get ready, and I will call if anything changes. You’ll need this.” He hands me a small vial.

“What is it?” I ask, inspecting the small amount of liquid.

“What you don’t know can’t harm you, right. Just get that in his fucking drink, and no surprises.” He points at me.

“Understood, boss man.” I salute him, and he shakes his head. He really needs to lighten up.

I slip out of the car and head toward the restaurant. It’s busier than it was earlier, and there are people entering all dressed in their best. Personally, I can’t think of anything fucking worse! Some of the heels these women are wearing are enough to give you a fucking nosebleed.

I lean against the wall, keeping out of sight of the CCTV camera, and watch as the door opens and closes with staff coming in and out.

That’s when I spot her, and she looks perfect! I whistle to get her attention, and when she turns around, I wave her over.

She looks so cute with her blonde hair sitting on top of her head. “Hey, can I help you?” she asks, her cute little dimples making her look so innocent.

“Sure, how about I take your shift tonight?” I smile sweetly at her.

“Oh, I can’t do that, I’ve just clocked in.” She looks around and starts to shuffle on her feet.

I shake my head at her. “It wasn’t a request, sweet cheeks.” And I know she’s going to scream as she opens her mouth, so I grab the back of her head and ram it against the wall.

Such a shame but I can’t have her ruin my plan. I watch as a trickle of blood runs down her forehead.

It was only a tap, so I don’t think she’ll be out for too long. I place my finger under her nose to check that she is still breathing, and my chest deflates when I feel the light exhale on my finger.

So fucking twisted, Frankie! She’s done fuck all wrong! I chide myself but then start to think how good it feels to take something so fucking precious and smash it into thousands of tiny pieces.

I untie her apron and put it around my waist, then drag her over to the bins, picking up and throwing some bags on top of her. Wiping my hands down the front of me, I stand and take a look at her and smile to myself … hopefully she won’t be seen straight away.
