Harlan’s face lit up. “I smell chicken. I think I can eat now.”
“You’re hungry. That means you’re feeling better.” I smiled at my boy.
Epilogue
Saturday, June 9th.
Coyote Creek Inn.
The reserved table I had requested was waiting for us when we arrived at the Inn. Olivia knew I was coming with my family, but she didn’t know Savanna Larson was included in that number.
There were six of us now. Savanna and I were trying life in Coyote Creek as a couple.
Billy was back home for good, and he’d accepted the fact that he would never be the county sheriff again.
Harlan had recovered from his frightening kidnapping trauma, and the ordeal hadn’t fazed him much. He was back to normal.
Tammy and Lucy were home for the weekend from the Pellegrino Ranch and had forgiven me for fighting with Annie. I wasn’t sure how they were reacting to Savanna being part of my life, but I was certain they wouldn’t keep it a secret for too long.
News of my new relationship would trickle back to Texas, and I was ready for whatever reactions came my way. It was time for the wild stallion to be tamed and Savanna might be the woman who could do it.
