The memory made me shudder. “You okay?” His look of concern was adorable. Sexy even.
“Yeah. I feel amazing. Like a brand new woman if I’m being real with you.”
“What?” was my response to him shaking his head at me.
“Nothing. I just love your honesty, that’s all.”
“Oh.”
I looked away. I wonder how he’d feel if I admitted to not sharing that I’d worked for the man he had been trying to track down for years. I guess I could always reason that I didn’t work directly for Khalil Berry so there was that. It was a flimsy excuse, and I knew it, but enough of one for me to use if it came to it. I only hoped it didn’t come to that. I didn’t want to admit to Raymond that I’d had a good paying job, doing something I kinda loved and left because of jealousy.
“Come on, let’s get cleaned up and get out of here.” He was completely unaware of my mood shift, and I was grateful for that.
I slipped to my feet and took the pieces of clothing he offered me once he returned from the copier room where we got the party started.
I admired the curve of his ass, on a perfectly shaped big man. His chest was broad, hard, and padded with a softness I caressed as he pumped in and out of me. His large dick swung with each step as he bent to retrieve his underwear, and then his pants next.
We took turns cleaning up in the office washroom, before spending the next hour finishing up the presentation we were close to completing before our seductive interlude. Once he was satisfied that it was perfect for Mr. Berry’s eyes, and he could convince the mogul to make the donation he needed to put on a spectacular event this year, he sat back at his desk and watched me.
Part of me felt vulnerable because I let him see and experience way too much in a very short amount of time. If he had been some guy I met at the club and moved so fast with, it would be different. Because I would have no reason to see that man again. But he was my boss, temporary or not, and that meant what we did could be held over me. My passion and desire got the best of me and was one more strike against me and my decision-making problems. I needed to find a way to let him know things were cool on my end, so he didn’t feel obligated to make this more than it was. Even if what it was for me was spectacular. Even if he himself was everything I would want in a man. Intelligent, sexy and full of conviction.
“I know what you’re going to say, Mr. McCullough.”
“You do?”
“Yeah, that it was a mistake.”
“First of all, I think we are way past, Mr. McCullough. Call me Raymond, unless we are around clients.”
“Wow.”
He chuckled. “I know. Who would have thought it. But seriously what’s the point now? I’ve broken every rule in my own manual.”
“You could always put the boundaries back in place.”
He watched me. “Is that what you want?”
I shrugged. “What I want isn’t what matters here. You’re the boss. And I need this job, for now.”
“Let’s leave you needing a job alone for now and deal with something that you should know about me. I don’t use women, and I wouldn’t use you and toss you away like nothing happened. Do you call your other lovers by their last name?”
I shook my head, stunned by his frankness.
“I don’t have many. I mean, none.”
“You have one now. And for the record, I have none but you.”
My mind immediately went to his call with Malika, but I thought better than to ask about it because it wasn’t my business. Sex on a desk didn’t change that either.
“Something is on your mind.”
“You have a gift for reading people, huh?”
“It’s how I get what I want.”
“Is that how you knew it was a go with us?”
“You’re switching topics, but I’ll answer and then we’re going to swing back around to what is bothering you other than having fantastic sex with your boss.”
