Chapter Seven
Gabriel blinked. Thenhe blinked again as Sam’s words blew a hole in the beyond exhausted fuzziness that had begun to encompass his brain.
“You still love me? Even after all I did and didn’t do these past years?” Gabriel took a step and then another and another, not stopping until he and Sam stood only a foot apart.
“Yes, Comet, I still love you. I tried to convince myself that I hated you for more than two years. I’ve been lying to myself since you walked out of the courtroom without even glancing in my direction.”
Gabriel’s heart squeezed and his entire body trembled with excitement at Sam still having feelings for him. The fact he was calling him Comet once again shocked him. The nickname came about from the first time they were together when Gabriel was flying up the charts like a blazing comet. At that time, no one thought he would burn out just as quickly.
“I couldn’t look at you, If I had I would have begun to cry and not been able to stop. And the last thing I needed in prison was anyone knowing I was tenderhearted. Being known as a singer was bad enough,” Gabriel admitted as his eyes filled and overflowed with long held tears.
Taking a deep breath, he continued before Sam could speak again, saying the words he had never had a chance, or the guts, to say before now. “I’m sorry for everything that happened. I don’t know what I was thinking that night, other than I needed to get away to think. I had to escape everyone and everything and your truck was running and empty. So, I jumped in and tried to drive away.”
Sam studied him in what light was available, but Gabriel could not read his expression. And he refused to guess at what he was thinking. Not again. The last time he thought he knew what the trucker had been thinking it ended up causing the rift that had separated them for the past two years.
“I have to ask,” Sam said softly. “Do you feel anything for me, Comet?”
Gabriel smiled and took a deep breath as he took the last step between them. Wrapping his arms around Sam’s middle, he tilted his head back and smiled up into Sam’s eyes.
“Oh, yes, my hot sexy trucker man. I still love you, too. You’re the biggest reason I cleaned up my act. The new album is all for you, about you, and dedicated to you. Well, you and whatever higher power is out there guiding my crazy life.”
It was Sam’s turn to blink in stunned amazement.
Going up on his toes, Gabriel brushed a kiss on Sam’s chin. “Is there any way you might be interested in starting over? Or trying again? Can you forgive me for my shit actions from two years ago?”
Gabriel had barely gotten his questions out when Sam slid one hand around the back of his neck to hold his head still. And then he kissed him. In an instant, time flashed back to their last kiss, the one just before his world imploded.
Sam had never been a gentle lover. He had always been a thorough one, often leaving Gabriel unable to walk a straight line afterwards. This kiss proved that time had not changed the big trucker. The kiss was not a gentle peck, but a rough claiming. Gabriel moaned as he parted his lips and welcomed Sam’s tongue in to duel with his own.
He tightened his hold as the big trucker thoroughly explored his teeth, lips, and tongue with an intensity that he did not remember being between them before. But Gabriel welcomed it. Sliding his hands down Sam’s back, he cupped and massaged his full ass cheeks. That earned him a deep, dark groan as the man deepened the kiss even further. Then Sam canted his hips forward, pressing the long, thick erection into his belly. Knowing he had turned the man on felt so good that Gabriel’s hard cock began to throb with the need that he had been holding for more than two years.
He whined in protest when Sam broke the kiss and straightened. “Don’t go.”
“I’m not going anywhere without you, Comet, but we need to take this somewhere a little more private,” Sam said as he stepped back and made Gabriel release him.
Knowing he was right but not liking it, Gabriel gave a heavy sigh. “Your place or mine?”
“Yours. It has the bigger bed,” Sam said with a grin that sent a shiver of excitement straight to his cock.

Sam followed Gabrielinto the trailer, pausing to make sure the door was closed and locks engaged. The last thing he wanted was for some overzealous fan to walk in while they were rekindling their relationship.
He took another minute to take off his boots and socks before strolling through the trailer turned RV, turning off lights as he passed them. He also picked up the trail of clothes that told him Gabriel was more than ready for him. Stopping in the doorway, he took a moment to savor the sight of a naked Gabriel lying across the bed, slowly running his hand up and down his long, thick cock. The covers were pushed off the end of the bed so they would not mess them up as they dirtied each other up. He’d even found a big towel and spread that across the mattress.
The cock that Sam could not wait to feel pounding into his ass. Tossing Gabriel’s clothes into the corner, he quickly added his own before approaching the bed.
“Are you sure about this?”
