“Car sex?”

“Is that a question or an offer?”

“Umm, both?”

Collins chuckles. “Not today.”

I pout. “Fine. But I feel like you enjoy rejecting all of my good ideas.”

“I enjoy rejecting your bad ideas too,” he says jokingly.

My lips curve up into a smirk. “Well, I rarely have those. So where are we going?”

“Patience…”

“I suck at that.”

“The anticipation is part of the fun.”

“Says the man who actually knows where we are going.”

Collins starts the engine and maneuvers the vehicle onto the street. We sit in a peaceful silence. It feels good to be next to someone and not feel forced to talk.

I watch out my window as we make our way out of the city and onto a side road. When we pass through the patches of forest, I realize that we can only be going to one place.

Oh, yes…

And the excitement I feel bubbling inside is almost too much to take.

Collins glances over at me. “Are you okay? You seem squirmy.”

“I am.”

He looks back at the road but gives me the side-eye. “Why?”

“I’m not dressed for this soon-to-be memorable experience. You could have given me a heads-up, you know?”

“Then it wouldn’t have been as fun.”

I twist my hands in my lap, playing with my hem. I’m not even close to being dressed for the occasion, in a simple sundress and non-matching panties and bra. “I look like I’m going to visit an Amish farm rather than a sex club.”

“You look beautiful, Penelope.”

“I thought you said we’d never go here.”

“Do you want to go ho?—”

“No!” I practically shout. “I’m just curious about what changed your mind.”

“A promise is a promise. I lost the vibrator bet at the Labor Day barbecue, and now I’m going to pay up and even out my debt.”

I rub my hands together. “Oh, goody.” Then I glance at the clock on the dashboard. “Wait. Is Limit-X even open at this time?”

Collins guides the SUV into the parking lot and finds a spot close to the entrance.

“It’s a member’s exclusive event,” he explains.

“Fancy.”
