I reached out and rubbed his arm.“You’ll be fine, baby. You’ll get caught up in the research and forget about me.”

He snorted.“Not likely.”

“But it’ll be worth it to be a part of this prestigious project. And once that’s done, we’ll both be in grad school in Washington, sharing the apartment you found.”

“Yeah,” he said with a sigh.“I guess you’re right.I’m nervous to be without you.”

“This research project is the reason you went to camp in the first place, isn’t it?”

He grinned, blushing.“It is.They wanted me to have experience living in a rustic setting, camping and backpacking.”

“So, now you’ve landed it.You can’t turn it down!”I said, giving him a gentle shove.“It’s such an amazing experience, and I’ll be there waiting at the other end.”

“And every goddamn weekend?”he clarified.

“Every single one.Rav, I love you.I believe in you.And I can’t wait to spend the summer fucking you in my car whenever we can steal a moment together.”

He burst out laughing, shaking his head as he let the car inch forward in traffic.“Sneaky sex is always fun.”

“It is,” I agreed.“Like the blow job I gave you under the tablecloth at Aiden and Jay’s wedding.”

“That was way too risky,” he grumped, and I knew the subject had effectively been changed.

“You tasted so good.I needed you.And their wedding was so lovely, it got me feeling all kinds of ways,” I said.

Ravi nodded, his brown eyes sparkling with happiness at the memory.“Yes, it was truly beautiful.I’m glad we could be there to celebrate their love. What was up with Ben and Sutton, though?”

“Fuck if I know. Was Sutton there as his date?I can’t imagine Aiden invited him.”I thought back to how different my ex had seemed at the wedding, and to how he’d behaved around Ben — quiet, reserved, and most definitely infatuated.Ben hadn’t paid much attention to Sutton, though, which seemed odd.“I guess we’ll find out the next time we see them.”

As we inched forward in the seemingly endless line of cars, my mind wandered to the past summer, to all of my friends from camp.I wondered if we’d ever all be back there — maybe I could sell Matt on an adult-only kind of event during the off-season.Fucking in the lake, wearing my jockstrap around the other guys.

My cock twitched.I was well and truly Ravi’s, and didn’t feel any desire for sex with the others anymore, but the thought of some public fun held a certain appeal.Ravi must have noticed my arousal, because he reached over and palmed me through my jeans, gently massaging my growing bulge.I moaned softly, grinding against his hand.

The sun was setting, casting an orange glow through the windows of Ravi’s car as we pulled onto Ravi’s street.

I glanced at him.“Have you thought about what our wedding will be like?”

Ravi turned to glance at me, a small smile playing on his lips.“Parker, the only thing that matters is that you’re the groom.”Ravi grinned, his deep dimples making him look a little cheeky.

I burst out laughing, caught off guard by his unexpected response.“If that’s you asking me to get married, then yes,” I teased.“I seem to remember making a note to talk about it later.”

“After grad school starts.”Ravi looked confused."And I definitely wasn’t asking that, but I have listed marriage in year three of my five-year plan.In year two, I plan to propose to you in a romantic setting, which has not yet decided, but I was hoping to talk to Matt about a return to Camp Eagle Ridge.Perhaps we’d rent a cabin."

“That would be a fun surprise,” I said, grinning.

“It’s not a surprise or I wouldn’t have told you.Besides, you know I’m terrible with surprises.I’d rather know how things are going to turn out.”

“Well then, so you don’t have to worry about the surprise, during year two of my five-year plan, I fully intend to accept your proposal.”

Ravi rolled his eyes.“You don’t have a five-year plan. You don’t even have a five-minute plan.”His lips were twitching, though, and if I wasn’t mistaken, his cheeks were getting a little pink.

“To be clear, when did you make this five-year plan?”I asked.

“In September,” Ravi said confidently, his brown eyes sparkling with determination.“I believe in setting clear goals for myself, and our relationship is important enough for me to include it in my plans.”

“Noted. No surprises. In September of next year, I fully intend to accept your proposal,” I said, still grinning like an idiot.

He nodded.“You can look at my phone if you need any details.”
