“Good. Besides, I thought you weren’t ever going to get married until I saw you in the back of that ambulance. The way she had you by the balls, it was obvious. And damn, you want Nick’s balls in your hand before you kill him.” I hate Nick Mirren more than I should because he isn’t anything but a place holder. Still, something about his stupid fucking face irritates me.
“Balls,” John says. “Balls.” He claps his hands together. Luckily, Nora won’t know that he’s talking about the wrong kind of balls.
“Damn it. I didn’t bring any with me, John.”
“Nope, you left your balls at home, or are they in Nora’s purse?” I smile at my brother, knowing that Nora owns him.
“Keep it up, and we’ll see where yours are soon. You can pretend all you want and tell me that this is just a contract, a way to play your enemies, but we’ll see.”
“It is. I like being balls deep inside her, but that’s a bonus.”
“Wait, you fucked her?” Jack says in a hushed whisper.
“Yeah.”
“You’re playing a dangerous game. Someone’s going to get hurt, and if it’s not you, it will be her. You better be careful, Connor.”
“I know what I’m doing.” The doorbell rings, and I answer it. “Hello, Judge Samuels, please come in.”
“Congratulations, Connor. Hello, Jack. Who is this young one?”
“He doesn’t engage with others.” John hides right behind my leg, which takes me by surprise. “He’s our little brother, John.”
“Oh, yes. The youngest MacNamara boy. Well, hopefully you all start producing a bunch of little ones to add to the brood. I’ve just added three grandsons to my family in the past four months. My daughters all married around the same time.”
“Well, we’re going for two out of the three. I’ll be getting married in the next few weeks.” The bell rings again, and hopefully this is the last time because I’m ready to get this show on the road.
When the door opens, it’s both my brother and my dad, who I’m surprised to see together.
“You two came together?”
“No, he was walking up when I arrived,” Ian said. He pushes past our father and into the house. “So when are we getting this show started? I have shit to do, and I’d like to get on with it.”
“Well, thanks for being so damn so supportive, bro.”
“The day you marry because you love your wife and not because you want to get back at the fucking bastard that this asshole can’t stop fighting with, then I’ll give a shit. You deserve better than marrying trouble.”
“You don’t have to be here, Ian. Your brother is still going to marry her whether you like it or not.”
“Boys, we’re ready,” Nora calls out from the top of the stairs.
“We’re ready for my bride,” I say, giving my brother a cold look. With a whisper, I warn, “Don’t you dare disrespect her again.”
“I’m sorry, Connor. I shouldn’t have said anything about your bride regardless of my reservations.”
Nora leads the way down in a light blue dress, and then behind her is my bride in a pretty white dress that goes down to her feet. My heart pounds out of my chest. I can’t believe the miracle Nora managed to work in a matter of three hours. She turned my gorgeous woman into a stunning bride that I know I don’t deserve.
The room is silent as Claudia meets me at the bottom of the steps. “You look perfect, Trouble.”
“Got to play the part when marrying my hero,” she answers with a wink and a smile. I want to get our vows overwith so I can carry her over my shoulder up to our bedroom and spear her with my fat cock.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we’re gathered here to join Connor MacNamara and Claudia Saunders in holy matrimony by the power vested in me by the State of Illinois.” The judge continues with the quick ceremony, and in a matter of minutes it’s time for me to kiss Claudia. I slide my hand into her hair and cup her head, tipping her lips up to mine. “Mine,” I growl before I snatch our first kiss as husband and wife. It’s a fast but possessive kiss that leaves no room for those in the room to doubt that she’s my wife, whether it’s my father or my brother, who clearly have objections.
“Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. MacNamara. Please sign here,” the judge says. I sign first and hand Claudia the pen for her to follow suit. She does, and I love the flawless effort in her pen stroke.
“Thank you,” I say, addressing the judge. I shake his hand, and then I turn to my family. “Thank you all for coming to our wedding.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Claudia,” Ian says. “You make a lovely bride.”
