Page 51 of Ronan

I rush to the bathroom where the shower is running. If he’s hurt, I’m fucking someone up. I’m thinking of all the twisted shit I’m going to do to Bujar and whoever he dared to send to spill Ronan’s blood when I stop dead in my tracks.

Oh. My. God.

Lord, what in the world am I supposed to do with all that? Is that a dick or a fucking anaconda? The man has a baseball bat between his legs.

That shit is soft? What the fuck? Now I get it.

Jealousy and anger rush through me as I think of the conversation I overheard at the wedding. No wonder those bitches were drooling. He’s slinging that type of shit around.

I want to toss all their asses down a well and throw a match into it. I can’t manage to pull my eyes away from him. He has his head thrown back as the water cascades down his face and body. That body.

The man is built solid. His abs are chiseled, his arms are ripped and his thighs … Lord have mercy. He can’t be real. I have to be dreaming.

I shake off my shock and look him over to see if he’s bleeding. I don’t find any wounds, just perfection. As if he knows I’m examining him, he drops his head and turns around.

I now have a full view of his back. I still don’t see any wounds, but he has a nice ass. I do note his knuckles are raw.

What the fuck happened? I still have his shirt clutched in my hand as I stare at him with my brows furrowed.

As if feeling my eyes on him, he turns his head slowly and looks over his shoulder. That cocky grin comes to his lips. Without a word, he turns the water off and fully turns to face me.

He’s speechless as he steps out of the glass shower and reaches for a towel. Locking eyes with me, he places the towel around his waist super slow as if waiting for me to take him in fully. I glance down at his growing erection and bite my lip.

Hot damn. I want to see what that thing looks like once fully awake. I snap my eyes back up to his and push aside my dirty thoughts.

“What happened?” I ask as I hold up his shirt with the blood on it.

“Nothing ya need to be concerned with.”

“Ronan, we need to talk.”

“About how you left without a word? A deal is a deal. I held up my end. Ya walked out on yers.”

I roll my eyes. “My leaving had nothing to do with our deal. I had business I needed to return home for.”

“Now I’m here. If ya didn’t leave because of me then we should be able to seal the deal,” he says as he moves forward and crowds my space.

I tilt my head back to look up at him. He reaches to palm the back of my head and leans in, stopping just before our lips meet. I should step back.

He’s stepping into danger getting into my life. He doesn’t know the real me. I’m not some innocent author.

I’ve toe-tagged people for fun. My uncle used to tell me I took too much joy in the things he taught me. I never thought anything of it because he would say it with a smile.

“I’m not who you think I am. This isn’t a good idea. I’m not right for you.”

He locks eyes with me and stares into my soul. I lick my lips and try to calm my racing heart. There’s a new intensity and determination in his gaze.

I get lost as he bounces his eyes over my face, searching. I don’t know what he’s looking for, but I’m terrified of all that he might find. I’ve never feared someone figuring me out so much before.

He nods to himself as if he has found exactly what he’s searching for. “Aye, ya are. I know that for a fact now. C’mere, love. I want ya.”

With that, he crushes his lips to mine. How could I have forgotten how intoxicating this man’s kisses are? I melt right into him.

He’s kissing me possessively. I should have heeded his warnings. I never thought he would learn my name, so I’ve been thinking that I’d be safe.

Now … fuck it. I want him too. No one’s bursting in here to come for me tonight. If they tried, it would be the last thing they did. I want this man and I’m going to have him.

I’ll tell him as much as I can in the morning. For now, I give as much as I’m getting. I drop his shirt and reach to cling to the top of his damp hair and hold on tight.
