Maple nods, her eyes filling with tears. Damn, I really wish I had more light in here to see her expression.
“You want a baby. With me. Right now.”
Maple sits up straighter and the change in angle has me back to gritting my teeth. “Yes. Don’t you want a baby?”
“I want multiple babies with you. But are you okay with it before the wedding?”
Maple leans back down and kisses me. “That’s the kind of stuff my parents worry about. But not me. I want a baby right now, Holt.”
I grin against her lips. “Yes, ma’am.”
And then I grip her hips and thrust up into her until she’s keening out my name so loudly, Mookie leaves the room. Which is just as well because I make Maple scream with pleasure two more times during the night.
My love says she wants a baby, I’m going to give her a baby or die trying.
When the sun comes up the next morning, summer is officially over and Maple’s still wrapped around me. My anchor, my everything.
