We hadn’t been able to find another base the bastard Antonov had used, so I was guessing the three we found were their only ones.
My men had been able to turn some of their hired mercenaries against them—for an outrageous price, but it would be well spent, considering we wouldn’t be going in blind now that we had people on the inside.
From what little information I had, Ivan Antonov was nothing more than a man with position, but no men to back him up in the Solntsevskaya Bratva. So he left, trying to branch out on his own.
But there was no leaving the Solntsevskaya Bratva. I was sure their top officials were hunting him down, which explained why he was so desperate to make this deal work with me.
There was also his supplier to contend with—the Grim Reaper.
But I was hoping by directly attacking their base would drawherout.
I didn’t think I was wrong that the supplier was a woman.
It made sense.
There were quite a few women who chose to work in selling skin.
Much more than what most people think. It was easier for them to lure other women—girls—away because they all thought there was nothing dangerous about a woman.
“I’ll take you on our honeymoon next week,” I said.
She propped herself up on my chest. “Next week?”
There was no mistaking the excitement in her voice.
“I’m sorry we weren’t able to go right away,mi corazón,” I said, cupping her cheek.
She smiled softly and shrugged. “It’s okay. I was kind of mad at you after our wedding.”
I smiled a little at that. “And now?”
I tightened my hand on her ass.
She pretended to think about it.
I squeezed her ass for that, and she yelped. “Hey!”
I laughed.
“I might still be a little mad at you,” she grumbled, reaching behind to rub her sore flesh.
I grinned. “Just a little?”
She blew out a small puff of air.
“Where would you like to go?” I asked.
The disgruntled expression on her face disappeared. “I can choose?”
“Of course. Don’t you know there is very little you could ask of me that I wouldn’t give to you?”
I fucking love you.
The words were getting easier to think. I didn’t get as fucking choked up.
She seemed to ponder it for a moment. “Paris.”
“Paris?”
