“If she didn’t before Jackson saw her, I can guarantee he is making sure of it right now.” My brother worships the ground that woman walks on. I think he has since the day they met.
Kaden squeezes my hand, giving me the softest smile knowing that’s exactly what is happening while they take their photos by the gazebo next to the lake.
We all tend to the first task at hand, going to the bartender’s station where Dakota, Gabe, and Ender are waiting for us, drinks already ordered.
“What happened, Dakota? Faith ditch you, again?” Connor, always poking the bear.
“Haha, very funny. I think she went with Kelsey to help Lanie. Apparently, it’s a thing where the bridesmaids have to fix the Bride’s dress thing in the back, so it looks good in the pictures.”
“It’s called a train, you neanderthal.” Connor being Connor, again.
“Wait, who’s running a train on who, now?” Bryce and that damn sense of humor of his.
“Are you ever not thinking about sex, Bryce?” Austin asks the question on all of our minds, our laughter giving Bryce the reaction he was looking for.
“Why would I want to do that?” He huffs like it’s the obvious answer. “Check with you guys in a little while. Have fun!”
The party gets underway, and our group seems to be the loudest. When the DJ comes over the mic letting us know it’s time for the Bride and Groom to make their grand entrance, we settle down, so the spotlight is on them.
The thunderous applause and cheering when they enter the room overpowers the music they chose for the entrance. The smiles on Lanie and Jackson’s faces are like none I’ve ever seen. My Angel’s smile is breathtaking, of course, but the newlyweds’ are a different version of happy. I look at Kaden and imagine if his smile could get any better if it was us making that grand entrance.
“What are you staring at, Bug?”
“Perfection.”
Kaden’s always shaking his head at me. “No one is perfect, Luke. That pedestal you put me on is going to collapse one day.”
I lean into him, wrapping my arm around his waist, “Then I guess I will just have to keep rebuilding it, won’t I?” My favorite shade of pink covers his cheek as I kiss it.
Their first dance will forever be a core memory of seeing my brother in the happiest moment of his life, thus far. The evidence is written all over his face looking at Lanie.
It’s not long before our chosen family regroups for celebratory shots all around.
“To a night of laughing, dancing, and maybe a little smashing.” Faith, Lanie, and Kaden burst into laughter while the rest of us exchange confused looks until Lanie finishes her toast, “But Luke and Kaden are not allowed to leave early!”
The running joke has not subsided, which is probably our fault for continuing our little trysts. Kaden’s cock teasing has only escalated over the years but I’m not complaining.
“We promise to not disappear tonight.” As I give my word to Lanie, hoping I can keep it, Kaden’s hand palms my ass. I stifle the laugh that is attempting to break free, turning my head towards Kaden to see his devilish grin.
“Jesus Christ you two, do you ever stop giving each other fuck-me eyes?” Faith’s comment comes out more like amazement rather than a complaint.
“I can’t help it if weddings make me want to get down on one knee, too.” Kaden’s eyes pop open wide from my comment.
“Oh no you don’t, fucker. Don’t you dare propose to my brother at my wedding. He deserves his own special moment.” Little Lanie gets all up in my face with her demands, taking me more seriously than I meant.
“You’re right, Lanie. He does, and so do you. I would never take either of your special moments away. Today is about you and Jackson. And I can say I couldn’t be happier to call you my sister.” I surround Lanie in an embrace as her eyes fill with emotions. Kissing her temple, I lean close to her ear, “Thank you for taking such good care of Jackson for me. You’re an amazing woman. Don’t ever forget that.”
Lanie gently pushes me away, “Stop that right now before you ruin my make-up.” She runs into Jackson’s arms, hiding herself from me. Everyone’s laughter fades as we disperse, Kaden and I making our way to the dance floor.
Surprisingly, Kaden behaves himself, mostly. Lanie and Jackson join us on the dance floor after making their rounds with the guests, Lanie’s requested song comes on. When she and Kaden both turn around shoving their asses in Jackson and I’s groins, I know it’s all over with. It doesn’t take long for my cock to get painfully hard.
“Okay, we’re done here.” I grab Kaden by the waist and drag him off the dance floor.
“Don’t you fuck my brother at my wedding! You promised!” Lanie screams after us, eyes bulging out of everyone in earshot’s heads.
“You didn’t play fair. Deal’s off!” I yell back at her as Kaden plays innocent.
“Why, Bug, whatever do you mean?”
