My lips still tingled from my kiss withVinceasIwalked into the front office—RuthieandEllieboth standing by the desk.Immediately,Iwas greeted by a barking noise behindRuthie.

“Dash, she’s a friend,”Ruthiesaid sweetly to a tiny headIsaw perched above her desk, staring at me.

“Good morning,Ruthie.Goodto see you too,Ellie,”Isaid whenIwalked in. “Andnice to meet you,Dash.”

Both of them looked at me with smiles growing to fullCheshireCatgrins.

“I think somebody got some, either last night or this morning,”Elliemuttered, looking straight at me.

She knew.Ihad no idea how she could know that, but she clearly did, andIcould feel the heat rush to my face.

“Or both,”Ruthiesaid with a huge grin of her own, and they both giggled like little schoolgirls.

I’m not sure what to say becauseI’dnever really had close girlfriends like this, or at least not ones whileIwas sexually active with a boyfriend.Wait, wasVincemy boyfriend?Ididn’t know.

“Girl, get over here and…spill…the…beans!”Elliepractically screeched.

Dash barked, likely on alert fromEllie’sloud announcement.Ellieapologized and strokedDash’shead.

“Hi,Dash.”Ileaned down and stuck my hand out for him to sniff and assess me.

When he felt he had sufficiently checked me out, he licked my hand, andIgave him a few head scratches.Heseemed very timid but sweet.Hisbed was next toRuthie’sdesk with a small plush toy in the corner.

“Stop using the dog to ignore us.Tellus the details!”Ellieinsisted, pulling up a chair for me to sit next toRuthieat the desk.

I sighed, realizing this might be good for me to have friends to talk to about this. “Wehad sex.”
